Position SummaryThe Production Planning Analyst supports the Production Control department in maintaining the timely flow and availability of materials needed to meet production schedules and customer requirements.The primary focus of this position is to achieve on-time delivery at lowest total cost by creating and calibrating the production schedule using principles of Toyota Production System. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Employ TPS principles to create, communicate, and maintain tactical production plans that achieve business goals. Follow and anticipate the progress of daily production to suitably adjust the production schedule when required. Build and update the aggregate production plan for responsible area. Consider and propose operational scheduling decisions such as overtime assignment or early dismissal. Own and proactively balance the finished goods inventory within responsible area to achieve business goals. Cyclically validate the physical inventory condition of finished goods. Provide courteous, responsive service for OEM customers as a representative of the factory. Grasp customer demand, analyze its evolution over time, and relay long-term forecasts to drive MRP. Grasp, communicate, and accommodate special customer requirements such as new launch, sample build, and trial. Confirm the continuity of supplies and finished good packaging fleet to enable production idea. Grasp abnormal conditions in supply, production, and demand; Act quickly to mitigate risks. Proactively coordinate across all functions of the factory to achieve business goals. Independently apply structured problem-solving approaches to create permanent resolution of gaps to target. Employ digital technologies to promote production efficiency and coordination of activity across the factory. Be a student of best practice throughout JTEKT and global industry; Contribute new ideas for kaizen. Be ready to work daily overtime including weekends when strictly necessary and directed by supervisor. Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skill verbally, in writing, and using visualized data. Highly organized and able to prioritize daily time towards business priorities. Strong problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of system and process analysis. Basic knowledge of project management. Intermediate knowledge of industrial business economics. Intermediate knowledge of manufacturing, logistics, and quality management systems. Familiarity with Toyota Production System concepts. Competency with Microsoft Excel for data mining, data structuring, and descriptive analytics. Competency with Microsoft PowerPoint for concise visual storytelling

Education and Experience•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business, supply chain management, engineering, or related field and/or at least 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required.
