The posting

At Julius Baer, we celebrate and value the individual qualities you bring, enabling you to be impactful, to be entrepreneurial, to be empowered, and to create value beyond wealth. Let’s shape the future of wealth management together.

We are seeking a proactive Quantitative Analyst to manage the interface between our trading desk and the Bank's risk and product control units. In this role, you will bridge quantitative operations with robust software engineering, ensuring accurate reporting and seamless access to our pricing and risk platforms. The Quant team is part of the Trading Team, within our Global Products & Solutions Unit in Zürich.

YOUR CHALLENGE

  • Set up, run, and maintain periodic risk and valuation reports, including Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB), Independent Price Verification (IPV), and Prudent Valuation Adjustment (PVA) model risk
  • Extend and adapt existing pricing libraries as needed to support the specific analytical and reporting requirements of risk and product control
  • Manage and administer partial access to our trading and risk platforms for risk and product control units based on their operational requirements
  • Collaborate closely with Risk, Product Control, and IT departments to streamline reporting workflows, validate outputs, and support production integration

YOUR PROFILE

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or Computer Science)
  • Good foundational understanding of financial mathematics and derivative pricing models, with practical experience in a supporting or implementational capacity
  • Solid programming skills in at least one compiled language. Familiarity with Scala and the Java ecosystem is a plus
  • Up to four years of relevant professional experience in quantitative development, risk analytics, or product control (including internships, graduate trainee programmes, or regular junior roles)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate quantitative concepts to non-technical stakeholders; fluency in English is required, and proficiency in German is an advantage
  • Hands-on mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder requirements effectively

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
