The posting

About the company

We're an early-stage startup working on tools that help developers build better applications with large language models. Our focus is on creating the infrastructure that makes AI development easier and more reliable. We're venture-backed and based in San Francisco, where our small team of engineers is tackling some of the toughest technical challenges in AI tooling. The goal is simple: give developers what they need to build, deploy, and manage AI-powered applications without the usual headaches.

About the role

Join us as a Founding Engineer and help build something meaningful from the ground up. You'll work closely with our founders to develop the core product, shape our team culture, and guide our technical decisions. This role comes with significant ownership and responsibility as you create scalable systems that thousands of developers will rely on. Your contributions will be essential as we create the leading platform for LLM observability and improve how developers work with AI.

What you'll do

  • Architect and Build: Design, develop, and deploy new features and core components across our entire platform, directly enhancing the developer experience.
  • Full-Stack Development: Take ownership of both frontend and backend services, including our Next.js/Tailwind frontend, high-throughput proxy worker, application and analytics databases (Postgres/ClickHouse), and backend API services.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead engineering projects from initial concept and design through to deployment, monitoring, and iteration, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
  • Infrastructure and Operations: Manage and optimize our deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance, and smooth operations.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate directly with our growing user community to gather feedback, guide feature development, and improve the platform's usability and documentation.

What we're seeking

Must have

  • Deep expertise and professional experience with TypeScript, as it forms the core of our codebase.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and experience working with relational databases.
  • A proven ability to break down complex technical problems and communicate solutions clearly and effectively.
  • A quick learner who is highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
  • A strong foundational understanding of the large language model (LLM) ecosystem and the current AI landscape.
  • Hands-on experience with our platform is required to ensure you have a baseline understanding of what we are building.

Nice to have

  • Experience with our specific tech stack, including Next.js, Tailwind, Express, Cloudflare Workers, Supabase, and ClickHouse.
  • Familiarity with cloud deployment workflows and services (AWS, GCP).
  • Experience working in an early-stage startup environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
