  • Establish clear planning timelines and assumptions, define decision-making authority, and hold participating teams accountable for their planning inputs and deliverables.
  • Build a planning process that connects financial targets to operating plans, headcount, capital spending, and cash needs. Partner with functional leaders to make forecasts actionable and identify tradeoffs early.
  • Deliver timely, decision-ready reporting for the executive team and board, including results versus plan, KPI trends, forecast changes, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated financial model that supports scenario planning, capital allocation, liquidity management, and strategic decisions.
  • Lead financial analyses and projections supporting fundraising and ongoing investor communications, including diligence, use of proceeds, and responses to questions about performance and growth.
  • Strengthen forecast accuracy, financial controls within FP&A, documentation, systems, and the speed and consistency of management reporting.
  • Define a consistent set of financial and operating metrics, with clear ownership and reliable data, so leaders and investors can understand the drivers of performance.
  • Build and lead a strong FP&A team, developing its capabilities in business partnership, financial modeling, communication, and execution as the company scales.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Deep experience leading FP&A in a growing company, including ownership of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and long-range planning.
  • Experience developing integrated financial models, including integrated financial statements, cash forecasts, and scenario analyses.
  • Experience supporting fundraising, investor diligence, and board presentations.
  • Experience improving financial systems, data quality, and reporting processes as an organization scales.
  • Demonstrated experience hiring, developing, and leading a high-performing FP&A team.
  • Experience in a capital-intensive or project-based business is preferred.
  • Experience partnering with engineering, manufacturing, or project delivery teams to incorporate technical milestones, spending commitments, and schedule changes into financial forecasts is desirable.
  • Relevant professional credential, such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Professional (FPAC), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is desirable but not required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of financial planning, financial statement relationships, cash flow forecasting, and financial and operating performance measures.
  • Skill in financial modeling and analysis, including evaluating assumptions, testing scenarios, and translating results into clear recommendations.
  • Ability to build a disciplined planning cadence from the ground up and gain commitment from leaders across the business.
  • Sound judgment about which metrics matter, what drives them, and how to turn financial analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Strong business partnership skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively and hold teams accountable to plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial results to executives, directors, and investors.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and establish structure and rigor as business needs change.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
