Let’s start with the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Automation Analyst to analyze, design and deliver intelligent automation solutions across the Finance function.

The role combines business analysis, process improvement and hands-on technical development, with a focus on Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Agentic AI architectures and end-to-end automation delivery.

You will work on complex Finance processes involving multiple systems, data sources, transformations and business rules, partnering closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on automation development experience and practical exposure to AI-driven automation with the ability to understand complex Finance processes.

As a Senior Finance Automation Engineer, you will:

Business Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand processes, pain points and automation opportunities.
  • Gather requirements, analyze end-to-end workflows and translate business needs into clear technical solutions.
  • Challenge and redesign processes where appropriate before automating them.

Automation Development & Technical Solution Design

  • Design, develop, maintain and optimize Finance automations using UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate or other enterprise or AI automation platforms.
  • Build end-to-end solutions involving multiple data sources, data transformations, system integrations and business rules.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to selecting the most appropriate technology for each process.

Project Delivery & Collaboration

  • Support automation initiatives from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, implementation and post-go-live support.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, Data and external partners throughout delivery.
  • Maintain clear process and technical documentation and communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of solution design and lead automation projects end to end, from idea to go-live.
  • Mentor and support team members and promote best practices in automation and AI.
  • Ensure that automations meet Finance control and governance standards with clear access rights, audit trail and documentation.

What you will bring

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in automation development, process automation or a related technical role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with UiPath (preferred); candidates with strong Microsoft Power Automate experience will also be considered
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and experience building automation solutions involving multiple systems and data sources.
  • Good knowledge of SQL, data transformation, APIs and system integrations.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating complex business processes into technical solutions.
  • Ability to analyze end-to-end processes and identify automation and process improvement opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Finance processes and ERP systems would be considered an advantage.
  • Experience with ETL or data transformation tools such as Alteryx would be considered an advantage.
  • Exposure to Databricks apps would be considered an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI/GenAI and agentic automation (e.g. LLM-based document processing, AI agents, UiPath AI capabilities) to automate or enhance business or finance processes.
  • Proven experience owning and delivering automation projects end to end, with the ability to guide and mentor others.
  • Understanding of Finance controls and governance (e.g. SOX, segregation of duties) and experience documenting processes for audit purposes.
  • Curiosity and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and apply emerging technologies.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
