The posting

Summary:

K2 is KOA's campground proprietary property management system.  The Product Manager works with Engineering, Design, and other subject-matter experts to identify customer problems, prioritize opportunities, define desired outcomes, and deliver valuable product improvements. The Product Manager owns assigned PM S domain product priorities and works with the cross-functional Product Team to develop solutions, refine requirements, and prepare work for delivery. This is a high-leverage individual-contributor role. The PM leads through evidence, facilitation, and influence, contributing to a trusted product roadmap that serves as the ultimate source of truth for executives, franchisees, and engineers.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and continuously evolve the K2 product strategy and outcome-based roadmap across K2's product domains and delivery teams. Lead continuous discovery with campground operators, front-desk staff, franchise stakeholders, and campers as part of the K2 quartet; run a recurring operator research cadence and synthesize findings into validated problems and prioritized opportunities. Frame problems, not solutions: own the problem, customer, desired outcome, why-now, success metric, and priority for every investment, let the team discover the solution and the team decompose and own the stories. Understand and comprehend the competitive and market intelligence for the campground management software category; help maintain the K2 competitive capability tracker and translate parity gaps into roadmap decisions. Own product requirements at the product level, opportunity statements, objectives, personas, use cases and prioritize at the outcome level: define the target outcome, key results, and success measures for each roadmap investment before work enters delivery. Operate the product intake model: convert stakeholder requests and operator escalations into evidence, assess them as opportunities, and protect delivery teams from unprioritized, unscored work entering the backlog directly. A request is evidence, not a requirement. Partner with the product team on Ready-queue priorities, owning the “why,” the “what problem,” and priority between product opportunities and outcomes Contribute to and lead at times the weekly Product Discovery cadence and the monthly K2 Product Review; communicate roadmap, outcomes, and learning to executive and franchise audiences. Maintain the roadmap and discovery record in the product management tool, distinct from delivery tracking in Jira. Define adoption and measurement plans for every significant release; run Outcome Reviews so “done” is distinguished from “successful.” Support the K2 commercialization thesis with market sizing, segmentation, and packaging analysis. Champion and model the organization's transition from request-driven delivery to discovery-driven product management, including supporting the professional development of teammates growing toward product management. Attendance at the team's core flow and product cadences, including daily flow stand-ups, replenishment, refinement, and review sessions is required. In-person attendance will be required on a yearly cycle to attend departmental meetings and/or staff development meetings.

  Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This job description is not intended to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

  Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.4 + years of software product experience. A demonstrated continuous discovery practice, including recurring customer research, structured opportunity assessment, and evidence-based prioritization. Proven experience building and communicating outcome-based roadmaps and defining product KPIs; strong analytical skills, with SQL or BI tool fluency a plus. Experience partnering with delivery-facing product roles in an agile or flow-based delivery model. Able to work as part of a cross-functional discovery group (PM, Design, Engineering, Business Stakeholders) where the team — not any single role — owns solutions and stories. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; the ability to influence without authority across product, engineering, and franchise audiences.

  Preferred Education and Experience:

Experience in hospitality technology, property management systems, reservation/booking platforms, marketplaces, or franchise business models preferred. Software product management experience on B2B or B2C SaaS or platform products; candidates with strong adjacent experience (e.g., senior product ownership or business analysis with demonstrated discovery and outcome accountability) will be considered.

  Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboard, including lifting and carrying a laptop and other small items up to 20 pounds. Prolonged exposure to computer screens and artificial lighting. Use of repetitive motion, standing, bending, sitting, lifting, and walking short distances. May be expected to drive a vehicle to KOA locations, other locations as directed, and conferences which requires close and distance vision, sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, other vehicles, etc. Travel occurs in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Frequent in person interaction with KOA employees in various settings, where noise level is typically low to moderate, including office spaces. Will experience occasional interruptions and shifting priorities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
