About the Role

If you are currently a head chef or an experienced Sous chef this role could be a great fit for you. As the Head Chef youll play a key role in the kitchen, supporting the other staff in crafting a menu that celebrates local produce and traditional pub classics with a modern twist. Youll help lead a dedicated kitchen team, ensuring that every dish leaves the pass with the highest standard of quality. This role offers the chance to be part of a vibrant culinary environment, where creativity is encouraged, and teamwork is at the heart of everything.

Our client is a renowned country pub located in Farnham, known for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience. The kitchen has a strong emphasis on using fresh, local ingredients, and the pub itself is a cornerstone of the local community. This is an ideal setting for a chef who values quality and is looking to grow in a friendly, professional environment.

Working Hours

Full-time role, including weekends and evenings chefs are on 35 to 48 hours per week The higher

Key Duties

  • Plan menus and create innovative dishes while maintaining cost control working to a pre defined GP target
  • Ensure consistency and quality in every dish, from preparation to presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Contribute to the development of new seasonal dishes and specials.
  • Assist in Management of inventory and stock

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef in a high-quality kitchen environment.
  • Passion for using fresh, local ingredients and creating seasonal dishes.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
