The posting

Para un importante cliente del sector seguros, buscamos Release Manager, el trabajo seria hibrido 2 días en oficina (Campo de las naciones, Madrid) y 3 días en remoto.

Periodo del proyecto: desde julio a octubre.

Las actividades a realizar por el Release Manager, en este proyecto están asociadas a la gestión de releases en la fase de desarrollo, pruebas integradas y despliegues entre entornos en la reléase 1.1, integrado en un equipo multidisciplinar y siguiendo una metodología Agile.

Entre estas actividades podemos destacar las siguientes:

  • Descripción del rol:
  • Guidewire nos solicita que debe existir para el buen desarrollo del programa Core un Build Manager. Figura clave para la gestión de versiones y también para la propia operación y soporte (incidencias debidas a código que exijan aplicar parches o realizar marcha atrás).
  • A su vez nuestra visión de este rol debe ser más global, contemplando todo el ecosistema Core Frontera. También viendo las posibles dependencias con el Legacy, pero creemos que estarán lo suficientemente desacopladas (APIs) para poder gestionarlas de manera “independiente” (gestión de dependencias a medida, sólo cuando sea necesario), lo cual permitirá a este rol tener una visión global.
  • Debe ser un perfil alto, con skills de comunicación, autoridad, capaz de entender las dependencias funcionales, su priorización, impacto en Negocio, etc.
  • Funciones del Build/Release Mánager:
  • Construcción del proceso asociado al Core.
  • Realizar un levantamiento Top-Down de las necesidades de entrega software que tenemos para todo el ecosistema Core (protagonismo especial para el propio GW), incluyendo tanto la parte metodológica (cada cuánto hay que entregar software, de qué manera se hace) como la tecnológica.
  • Definir un proceso similar (y paralelo) al actual Comité de Implantación para gestionar la entrega, dentro de un ámbito agile y con mejoras de dicho proceso.
  • Será necesario identificar gaps en términos de personas, procesos y herramientas en la organización.
  • Interactuación con el equipo de Delivery para alinear prácticas DevOps comunes.
  • Generar documentación de las operativas de entrega, generando un estándar. Esto además es prerrequisito de los dry-runs incluidos en la transición a operaciones (90 días antes del paso a producción).
  • Mantenimiento y operación del mismo.
  • Coordinación de las nuevas releases de producto entre las 4 capas de desarrollo existente (producto, customizado, ecosistema y legacy).
  • Gestión del mapa de dependencias de la nueva arquitectura.
  • Asegurar el día de mañana la transición con nuevo proveedor de delivery (capa de customización).
