The posting

At Kapres Technology we are looking for a QA Test Engineer to work for a multinational client in the insurance sector.

Main Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the QA team to understand testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Create and maintain test cases and test data based on provided specifications.
  • Identify defects and verify bug fixes.
  • Support automation efforts by developing and maintaining simple test scripts under supervision.
  • Log and track defects using issue-tracking tools, providing clear and concise defect reports.
  • Participate in team meetings, including daily stand-ups and sprint planning, to stay aligned with project goals.
  • Conduct basic regression testing to ensure recent changes do not introduce new issues.
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects.
  • Support the documentation of testing processes, results, and metrics.
  • Establish testing procedures and organisational standards.
  • Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to improve testing processes and share knowledge.
  • Work with AI/GenAI testing tools and methodologies under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Contribute to team efforts in continuous improvement and learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Expertise in software testing concepts and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, SoapUI) is a plus.
  • Expertise in programme in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Expertise in database (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Relevant QA or IT qualifications or ongoing studies
  • Expertise: At least 1-2 years in software testing or related roles, or internship experience.

The position is remote within Spain.
