Principal Product Manager - Hiring Manager Experience (India)

Our Product team is committed to driving forward Karat’s mission to make interviews predictive, fair, and enjoyable. We are focused on providing deeper value to engineering and talent leaders, hiring managers, recruiters, candidates, and Interview Engineers.

What you will do

As Principal Product Manager, you will own the product vision, strategy, and execution for how hiring managers and their teams experience our platform — from onboarding through interview results and client-run assessments. You'll leverage deep user empathy and product thinking to build experiences that make it effortless for enterprise hiring teams to evaluate and act on candidate signal, collaborating across engineering, content, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

This position requires a schedule that overlaps with U.S. business hours.

• Product Strategy & Innovation: Define the roadmap for the hiring-manager-facing product suite; identify where AI can make results and insights clearer and more actionable for hiring teams; shape Karat's strategy for serving enterprise hiring managers directly.
• Product Development & Execution: Prioritize features based on customer needs and business objectives; partner with engineering, content, and UX teams to deliver high-quality, enterprise-ready solutions.
• Analytics & Insights: Analyze usage and outcome data to improve the hiring-manager experience; design experiments to test new onboarding, preference, and results-delivery approaches.
• Market & Customer Focus: Track performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities; partner with Go-to-Market teams on expansion strategies; build compelling business cases for new offerings.

The experience you will bring

• 8+ years of product management experience across B2B and B2C offerings, ideally with prior experience as a software developer
• Genuine passion for and track record of building B2B SaaS applications; comfortable running customer discovery calls and QBRs and translating enterprise feedback directly into product decisions
• Demonstrated experience defining, launching, selling, and scaling successful products with measurable business impact
• Comfortable holding your own in client meetings with senior stakeholders at large enterprises, including technical hiring leaders
• Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
• Track record of executive presentations: communicating business value and product strategy to gain executive buy-in

This position is only available to candidates residing in Bengaluru (formerly known as Bangalore). While our team operates 100% remotely, we are currently limiting hiring to this specific location. We will not consider applications from other cities in India at this time.
