The posting

Join our team in a hands-on role spanning House Programming, Marketing and Gallery Programming, where you will play a key part in shaping how the House of Tan Yeok Nee is positioned, programmed and experienced. Working closely with Management and across different teams, you will help bring together the House’s programme pipeline, identify opportunities for synergy, support the development of a coherent annual calendar, and translate this into thoughtful marketing, communications and audience engagement. You will also take ownership of the Heritage Gallery’s rotating exhibition programme, from sourcing suitable artists and partners through to implementation.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys both thinking and doing, able to contribute ideas, coordinate across stakeholders and follow through on the details needed to move initiatives forward. Given the dynamic and growing nature of the Foundation and the wider group of companies, you are adaptable, open and flexible, bring positive energy to the team, and are comfortable working independently with initiative and self-direction.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to COO, your duties and responsibilities are as follows:

House Programming

  • Develop and maintain an overarching annual House Programming & Experience Strategy that identifies key milestones, cultural touchpoints, traditions and opportunities for engagement across the year, integrating the full pipeline of Foundation programmes, commercial events, F&B activations, exhibitions and other House activities.
  • Shape a cohesive House calendar by identifying opportunities to connect, sequence and integrate activities across the various Business Units, avoiding duplication and evaluating trade-offs where priorities or dates conflict, while creating a stronger sense of shared identity and community.
  • Define the strategic intent and desired outcomes for major House programmes and experiences, ensuring that activities are aligned with the House’s values, culture, brand positioning and stakeholder priorities.
  • Develop and strengthen the House’s cultural narrative and experience proposition, ensuring that programmes, events and communications consistently reinforce what the House represents and the experience it seeks to create.
  • Build and manage relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, partners and collaborators to identify opportunities for distinctive programming, partnerships and experiences that enhance the House.
  • Establish appropriate measures of success for House programming and experience initiatives, using feedback, participation, engagement and other relevant indicators to assess effectiveness and inform future programming.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to Management on opportunities, priorities and investments relating to House programming, experience and engagement.
  • Translate the approved House Programming & Experience Strategy into an annual programme of initiatives, coordinate with the relevant internal teams and external partners on sequencing and dependencies, and provide direction to the relevant teams and vendors on execution.

Marketing, Brand & Digital for House and Foundation

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing and content plans for the House and Foundation across social media, websites and other digital channels, ensuring consistency of brand, messaging and audience experience.
  • Plan and manage content calendars, create and publish content, update websites and digital touchpoints, and produce marketing materials for programmes, exhibitions, partnerships and key House milestones.
  • Determine the appropriate positioning, timing and channels for communications, including whether initiatives should be led through the House, Foundation or partner platforms.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners on publicity, social media, creative and communications requirements, and ensure agreed deliverables and timelines are followed through,
  • Monitor digital performance, audience engagement and public feedback, and use these insights to refine content, marketing and audience experience efforts.

Gallery Programming

  • Develop and manage a sustainable programme of rotating exhibitions within the Heritage Gallery, including building a pipeline of artists, institutions, schools, curators and other potential collaborators.
  • Research, source and evaluate exhibition opportunities that are aligned with the House’s heritage and cultural context, the Foundation’s objectives and the suitability of the space.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of Gallery exhibitions, from concept development and artist or partner engagement through to agreements, timelines, installation requirements, interpretation, publicity, launch activities and de-installation.
  • Develop the marketing and communications approach for each exhibition, including press releases, social media, partner communications and related public engagement activities.
  • Identify opportunities to extend Gallery exhibitions through talks, workshops, educational activities or other programmes, positioning the House as a platform for artists and creative practitioners.

Stakeholder Coordination & Follow-Through

  • Support Management in meetings with programme, art, education, media and other partners, including preparing background materials, documenting discussions and tracking agreed next steps.
  • Proactively follow through on partnerships and initiatives by coordinating timelines, approvals, communications requirements and other dependencies across internal teams and external parties.
  • Maintain a clear overview of ongoing House and Foundation initiatives and ensure relevant stakeholders are kept aligned on key milestones and decisions.
  • Undertake such other duties and projects as may reasonably be required in connection with the role.

Your duties shall comprise the duties of your appointment, and without further remuneration, other duties deemed appropriate by the Company.

Key Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style across platforms.
  • Meticulous, organized, thoughtful and resourceful, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working in a friendly and collegial environment.
  • Eager to learn, comfortable navigating a fluid and dynamic environment, and open to feedback.
  • Proficient with common productivity and creative tools such as Microsoft Office, Canva, and generative AI applications.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and basic video-editing software is a bonus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
