Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer to help develop and maintain Kaseya's endpoint management agents across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms.

This is a hands-on software engineering role focused on building secure, reliable, and scalable endpoint management capabilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about operating systems, systems programming, device management, endpoint security, and software quality.

Unlike traditional development environments where quality ownership is separated, our engineers own the full software lifecycle. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and support your solutions while building automated validation alongside the features you create. Successful candidates combine strong software engineering skills with a quality-first mindset and leverage automation to ensure reliability, maintainability, and release confidence at scale.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement new features for endpoint agents across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms.
  • Develop software components supporting monitoring, automation, patching, inventory collection, remote actions, scripting, and device management.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Own features throughout the entire lifecycle from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Build automated tests and validation frameworks alongside feature development.
  • Develop automated coverage for functional, integration, regression, resiliency, and system-level scenarios.
  • Improve software quality through testability, diagnostics, telemetry, and automation.
  • Investigate customer-reported issues and production escalations.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventative solutions to avoid future recurrence.
  • Reproduce complex issues across diverse operating system and endpoint environments.
  • Improve agent stability, performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Develop integrations with operating system management, security frameworks, and device management APIs.
  • Build telemetry and diagnostics capabilities that improve product supportability and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with Product, Support, Cloud Platform, Security, and Engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, architecture reviews, and sprint planning activities.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development and testing tools to accelerate engineering productivity and improve software quality.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience developing system software, endpoint software, platform services, or related applications.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET, including experience building production-grade applications and services.
  • Experience building automated tests and validation capabilities as part of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience developing automated test frameworks and validation tooling using technologies such as xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, Selenium, Playwright or similar testing frameworks
  • Experience with Windows system programming concepts such as Win32 APIs, Windows Services, WMI, Registry operations, process management, threading, security models, or related operating system capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of operating system fundamentals, including: Processes and threads, Filesystems, Networking, Services and daemons, Security models, Privilege management, Performance and resource utilization
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Experience developing software that interacts with operating system services, APIs, or management frameworks.
  • Understanding of software quality engineering principles, test automation, and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as coding assistants, code generation tools, or intelligent debugging solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RMM, UEM, EDR, XDR, endpoint security, or device management products.
  • Knowledge of C, C++, Rust, Go
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Apple MDM, Android Enterprise, or Linux management platforms.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, Python, AppleScript, or other scripting technologies.
  • Experience building test frameworks, automation libraries, or system-level validation tooling.
  • Experience working with virtualization, containerization, or automated device provisioning environments.
  • Familiarity with endpoint telemetry, diagnostics, observability, and monitoring systems.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Senior Endpoint Software Engineer at Kaseya:

  • Builds secure, scalable, and high-quality endpoint software.
  • Owns features end-to-end from design through production support.
  • Demonstrates strong ownership of both software development and quality.
  • Develops automated validation alongside feature implementation.
  • Solves complex customer, platform, and operating system challenges.
  • Improves the reliability, performance, security, and maintainability of endpoint agents.
  • Rapidly diagnoses issues and implements long-term corrective solutions.
  • Partners effectively across Product, Support, Security, Platform, and Engineering teams.
  • Leverages AI-native engineering practices to improve productivity and accelerate delivery.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
