About Kassow Robots
At Kassow Robots, we develop and produce cutting-edge 7-axis collaborative robots (cobots) designed to offer extraordinary maneuverability and precision in industrial automation. As a dynamic subsidiary of Bosch Rexroth, we combine the agility and innovation of a robotics venture with the stability and global reach of a world leader in drive and control technologies.
We are looking for a dedicated and quality-conscious Assembly Operator to join our production team in Copenhagen. In this role, you will be directly involved in assembling, integrating, and testing the next generation of industrial cobots.
Role Summary
As an Assembly Operator, you will play a hands-on, critical role in transforming mechanical and electrical components into high-precision, industrial-grade collaborative robots. Working closely with our production technicians, quality specialists, and engineering teams, you will ensure every robot leaving our facility meets strict performance, safety, and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities
Mechatronic Assembly & Integration
- Assemble complex mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic sub-assemblies (e.g., robot joints, motors, gearboxes, cable harnesses, and end-of-arm interfaces) strictly following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Safely and accurately operate specialized assembly tools, including calibrated torque wrenches, manual/pneumatic press tools, fixtures, and delicate hand tools.
- Perform precision wiring, connector assembly, cable routing, and sealing according to electro-mechanical schematics and electrostatic discharge (ESD) prevention protocols.
Inspection & Quality Assurance
- Perform incoming and in-process visual and dimensional inspections of parts against technical drawings and internal specifications.
- Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming parts or sub-assemblies to prevent defective components from entering the build line.
- Maintain complete and accurate traceability records (e.g., serial numbers, batch tracking, torque logs) in the production tracking system.
Functional Testing & Calibration
- Assist in executing end-of-line (EOL) functional tests, electrical safety checks, and basic robot commissioning sequences.
- Monitor test runs for joint performance, thermal behavior, vibration, or unexpected noise, reporting deviations immediately.
Continuous Improvement & Workshop Organization
- Collaborate actively with the R&D and manufacturing engineering teams to provide feedback on manufacturability, assembly sequence improvements, and tool optimization.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace according to 5S methodology and company health and safety standards.
**Qualifications & Competencies
**
Required Experience & Skills
- Technical Background: Vocational training or proven practical experience in mechanical assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, industrial automation, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Tool Competency: Proven experience working with calibrated torque wrenches, precision hand tools, alignment fixtures, and press-fitting equipment.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, assembly manuals, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Process Discipline: High attention to detail with an uncompromising commitment to quality, accuracy, and adherence to standardized work instructions.
- Languages: Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required as English is our working language.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience in robotics, automated machinery, aerospace, medical device, or automotive precision manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ESD-sensitive electronics handling and clean-assembly practices.
- Basic understanding or conversational ability in Danish.
- Basic familiarity with ERP/MES systems or digital work instruction software.
**Who you are
**
- Detail-Oriented & Quality-Minded: You take pride in high-precision craftsmanship and understand that reliability is non-negotiable in robotics.
- Team Player: You enjoy working in a collaborative, international environment where team members support each other to meet production targets.
- Problem-Solver: You are curious, proactive, and willing to speak up when you spot opportunities to improve assembly steps or product quality.
**What we offer
**
- The opportunity to work at the forefront of modern robotics in a collaborative and tech-savvy environment.
- The agility and flat hierarchy of a high-growth tech company, backed by the solid foundation and long-term perspective of the Bosch Group.
- Modern manufacturing facilities with ergonomic workstations and high-standard equipment.
