Title:

Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A

At KBR, We Deliver.

KBR's Corporate team provides the financial insight, strategic planning, and performance management that help drive decision-making across our global business. Working closely with executive leadership, business units, and functional teams, we support forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, capital allocation, and financial analysis to enable sustainable growth and shareholder value. Our focus is on transforming data into actionable insights that guide the company's strategic priorities and operational performance.

We are seeking a commercially minded and service-oriented Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A to lead corporate planning, forecasting, performance reporting and decision support for STS.

Reporting to the Director, FP&A, the role will partner closely with the STS Ops CFO, corporate functional leaders and finance teams across the business. The Senior Manager will convert financial and operational information into clear insight, constructive challenge and actionable recommendations across the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.

The role will lead and coordinate the Corporate FP&A team, including corporate planning and analysis, accounting support, IT FP&A and Chennai FP&A support. The successful candidate will establish clear ownership, robust review processes and a consistent FP&A operating rhythm across the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development and consolidation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts and long-range plans for STS corporate functions.
  • Own the Corporate FP&A planning and reporting calendar, ensuring timely, accurate and internally consistent submissions.
  • Partner with corporate functional leaders to develop credible plans, understand cost and workforce drivers, challenge assumptions and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Provide clear analysis of actual and forecast performance against budget, prior forecast and prior year.
  • Produce concise, executive-level commentary that explains the principal drivers of performance and identifies required management actions.
  • Develop integrated forecasts across the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow, with particular focus on cash conversion, working capital and forecast accuracy.
  • Coordinate the consolidation and review of inputs from Corporate FP&A, accounting, IT FP&A and Chennai FP&A support.
  • Work closely with Accounting to ensure management reporting is aligned with the general ledger and material accounting, allocation or classification issues are identified and resolved.
  • Oversee corporate cost allocations and help business and regional finance teams understand their impact on reported and forecast performance.
  • Deliver regular dashboards and decision-support materials for the STS Ops CFO, Director of FP&A and wider leadership team.
  • Undertake scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis and ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic, operational and investment decisions.
  • Establish appropriate controls, reconciliations and review processes over planning and management-reporting data.
  • Drive improvement and automation across FP&A processes, reporting tools, systems and planning methodologies.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Corporate FP&A team, setting clear priorities, accountabilities and performance expectations.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, service, ownership and continuous improvement across the finance organisation.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
  • Recognised accounting qualification, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred; an MBA would also be advantageous.
  • At least six years of progressive FP&A, finance or accounting experience, including experience leading or coordinating teams.
  • Experience in a complex, global and matrixed organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis and cash-flow forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of the income statement, balance sheet and cash-flow linkages.
  • Experience partnering with senior non-finance stakeholders and constructively challenging financial and operational assumptions.
  • Ability to translate complex financial information into concise executive-level insight and recommendations.
  • Experience managing corporate or functional cost centres, allocations and indirect costs.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and accounting close processes.
  • Government contracting and indirect-rate experience would be advantageous where relevant to the STS business.
  • Strong systems capability, with experience of ERP, consolidation and planning platforms.

  • Strong commitment to accuracy, control and data integrity.
  • Collaborative and service-oriented, while maintaining appropriate financial discipline.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
