Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Cloud / Data Platform Engineer with strong AWS and Snowflake expertise to design, build, and operate modern cloud data platforms, data integration pipelines, and self-service data capabilities. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing platform automation, security, governance, and observability to deliver high-performing and scalable data solutions. We are looking for a senior, autonomous candidate who can be immediately operational with demonstrated, hands-on experience across the AWS and Snowflake ecosystems. Key Responsibilities Platform Architecture & Engineering: Build, operate, and maintain scalable, high-performance cloud data platforms and self-service data capabilities. Data Integration & Pipelines: Design and deploy robust batch and real-time data integration pipelines using tools like Apache NiFi, Airflow, and Kafka. Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern GitOps/CI/CD practices using Terraform and GitHub. Security & Governance: Enforce enterprise data governance, security, and access controls using RBAC, dynamic data masking, data contracts, and MFT. Data Sharing & Modeling: Leverage Snowflake advanced capabilities, including Data Sharing and Hybrid Tables, to support hybrid workloads and cross-organizational data exchange. Analytics & Visualization Enablement: Enable business intelligence and data apps by integrating data downstream with tools like Power BI and Streamlit. Observability & Support: Implement end-to-end data observability, monitoring, and operational integration with ServiceNow to ensure platform health and reliability. Requirements Required Qualifications & Skills Core Experience: Senior-level experience as a Data Engineer or Cloud Data Platform Engineer. Highly autonomous mindset with the ability to become immediately operational upon joining. Strong, demonstrated hands-on experience in the AWS and Snowflake ecosystems. Key Technologies & Tools: · Cloud Platforms & Data Warehousing: AWS (S3, core services), Snowflake (Data Sharing, Hybrid Tables) Data Modeling & Transformation: dbt (data build tool), Data Contracts Data Ingestion & Orchestration: Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, Kafka, MFT (Managed File Transfer) DevOps, IaC & CI/CD: Terraform, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps Governance, Security & Operations: Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Data Masking, ServiceNow BI & Data Applications: Power BI, Streamlit Candidate Profile & Expectations Autonomous & Proactive: Proven track record of driving projects independently with minimal supervision. Operational Excellence: Passionate about building resilient pipelines, automation, observability, and adhering to strict security and governance standards. Collaborative Communicator: Ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, analytics, and business units to deliver robust data platforms.
