1. Perform leather finishing processes, including spraying, coating, coloring, polishing, buffing and other surface treatments according to approved specifications and standards. 2. Prepare and mix finishing materials, including dyes, pigments, coatings, chemicals and other finishing agents, according to approved formulas and process requirements. 3. Operate and adjust finishing equipment and machines to ensure the required finishing effect and consistent production quality. 4. Conduct color matching and sample development and adjust finishing processes or formulas to achieve the required color, shade, appearance, texture, and hand feel. 5. Inspect finished leather for quality and appearance, including color consistency, surface defects, coating adhesion, gloss, texture, softness, and other specified requirements. 6. Identify and troubleshoot finishing problems, determine possible causes and make appropriate adjustments to materials, formulas, equipment, or processing conditions. 7. Work closely with the Development, QA/QC, Production, and Material teams to resolve leather quality issues and ensure that finished leather meets product requirements. 8. Conduct and record required tests and inspections and maintain accurate records of finishing formulas, process conditions, test results, and quality issues. 9. Support the development of new leather finishes and treatments, including trials of new colors, effects, textures, and finishing techniques. 10. Maintain finishing equipment and work areas in good operating condition and report any equipment problems or abnormalities to the responsible supervisor. 11. Perform other duties related to leather finishing and material development as assigned by the supervisor.
