About the Position

The return goods clerk is responsible for processing. documenting, and coordinating returned products to ensure compliance with company procedures, Inventory accuracy and proper product handling. This role ensures all returned goods are identified, documented, segregated and processed appropriately while maintaining accurate records and communication with internal departments and external partners.

Functions

  • Process returned goods authorizations (RGA's) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Review returned products and accompanying paperwork to ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain designated RGA staging areas in an organized manner to prevent product from being mixed with regular inventory or return-to-stock materials.
  • Identify and report discrepancies missing paperwork damaged products and improperly returned merchandise.
  • Ensure refused product unplanned returns and return to stock materials are handled according to established procedures.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Transportation inventory control quality and other departments to resolve return related issues.
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED required; associate degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Based on the site, industry specific (i.e. food grade) experience may be required.
  • Experience using SAP for inventory transactions and warehouse operations preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail
  • Pass Background and Drug screen
