Toezichthouder Omgevingswet

Ben jij een ervaren toezichthouder die graag buiten de deur werkt en stevig in zijn schoenen staat? In deze functie houd je toezicht op de naleving van wet- en regelgeving rondom bouwen en de fysieke leefomgeving. Je controleert vergunningen, beoordeelt situaties ter plaatse en adviseert over de juiste aanpak wanneer je overtredingen constateert.

Je werkt zelfstandig, maar staat in nauw contact met andere toezichthouders, juridisch handhavers en verschillende interne en externe partners. Daarbij krijg je te maken met uiteenlopende situaties, van reguliere bouwprojecten tot handhavingstrajecten en vraagstukken rondom ondermijning.

Wat je gaat doen:

  • Je houdt toezicht op de naleving van wet- en regelgeving binnen de fysieke leefomgeving;
  • Je controleert bouwprojecten en de uitvoering van verleende omgevingsvergunningen;
  • Je voert zelfstandig inspecties en controles op locatie uit;
  • Je beoordeelt signalen, meldingen en eigen waarnemingen en bepaalt welke vervolgstappen nodig zijn;
  • Je signaleert overtredingen en adviseert over passende handhavingstrajecten en bestuurlijke maatregelen;
  • Je geeft advies over geldende regelgeving en procedures;
  • Je legt bevindingen zorgvuldig en duidelijk vast;
  • Je signaleert risico’s en afwijkingen en denkt mee over verbetering van werkprocessen;
  • Je werkt nauw samen met toezichthouders, juridisch handhavers, de brandweer, omgevingsdienst en andere betrokken partijen;
  • Je neemt deel aan acties binnen het Bestuurlijk Interventie Team.

Wat jij meebrengt:

  • Je hebt de opleiding ABW 1 (Ambtenaar Bouw- en Woningtoezicht) afgerond (harde eis);
  • Je hebt aantoonbare werkervaring als Toezichthouder Omgevingswet (harde eis);
  • Je bent in het bezit van rijbewijs B (harde eis);
  • Je hebt kennis van of ervaring met de signalering en aanpak van ondermijning (pré);
  • Je hebt ervaring met het adviseren over handhavingstrajecten en bestuurlijke maatregelen (pré);
  • Je bent communicatief sterk en kunt helder adviseren en rapporteren;
  • Je bent zelfstandig, nauwkeurig en oplossingsgericht;
  • Je staat stevig in je schoenen en weet overtuigend en respectvol op te treden;
  • Je kunt goed samenwerken en blijft ook onder druk zorgvuldig en resultaatgericht;
  • Je bent flexibel en vindt het prettig om veel op locatie en midden in de praktijk te werken.
