YOUR ROLE:

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team in Madrid, primarily supporting the accounts payable function while also assisting with other accounting activities, including accruals, reconciliations and month-end closing tasks.

In this role, you will work as part of a team, handling supplier invoices, ensuring accurate accounting records and contributing to the smooth running of daily accounting operations.

Based in our Madrid office, this position is suitable for a junior accountant with a good understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach. Previous experience in an international environment or financial services firm would be a plus.

YOUR TASKS:

  • Oversee Process and record supplier invoices for the KC Group, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Assist with the preparation and follow-up of supplier payments.
  • Monitor supplier accounts, perform reconciliations and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to address invoice and payment-related queries.
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with other general accounting tasks and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing relevant accounting documentation.
  • Contribute to improvements in accounting processes and participate in finance projects as needed.

YOUR PROFILE & SKILLS:

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Junior profile, ideally with 1–3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable. Recent graduates are also welcome to apply.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required. French is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and willingness to learn.
  • Hands-on, proactive and comfortable working as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in an international environment.
