Keplr Vision is a managed services organization that works in support of private practice independent optometrists, providing robust business support services and supply chain management to over 250 locations across the United States. Keplr continues to expand geographically through organic growth and strategic acquisitions. 

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES 

The primary responsibility of this position is to mine and deliver patient and supply chain insights for independent optometry practices as part of our managed services organization. This includes leveraging data and analytics to generate actionable insights and help shape the company strategy, managing budgets and implementing measurement & analytics processes.

Supply Chain Analytics 

Drive data-driven supply chain decisions by developing analytics that optimize inventory performance, vendor management, and demand planning. 

Key Responsibilities 

Develop inventory health, procurement, and supplier performance dashboards and KPIs. 

Monitor and analyze inventory turns, fill rates, service levels, and 3PL operational performance. 

Build demand forecasting models to improve purchasing and replenishment decisions. 

Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through statistical analysis and predictive modeling. 

Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations to improve inventory efficiency and reduce costs. 

Utilize Databricks, Power BI, SQL, and Python to build scalable analytics and reporting solutions. 

Merchandise Analytics 

Provide merchandising insights through advanced reporting, assortment analysis, and location planning to maximize product performance. 

Key Responsibilities 

Design and maintain executive dashboards and operational reports using Databricks and Power BI. 

Analyze merchandise assortments by practice, market, and customer segment to improve sales performance. 

Develop location planning and assortment optimization models. 

Monitor sell-through, inventory productivity, and category performance. 

Deliver actionable insights that support merchandising strategy, assortment decisions, and business growth through reporting and analysis 

Merchandise Financial Planning 

 

Support merchandise financial planning through forecasting, financial modeling, and profitability analysis. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Develop bottom-up merchandise financial forecasts and annual operating plans. 

Forecast and analyze key merchandising KPIs including Average Unit Cost (AUC), Average Unit Retail (AUR), Gross Sales, Margin, Inventory, and Net Revenue.  

Perform markdown, promotional, and discount analysis to identify opportunities to improve profitability. 

Conduct variance analysis against financial plans and recommend corrective actions. 

Provide financial insights and scenario modeling to support pricing, assortment, and inventory investment decisions. 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS 

The ideal candidate will have:  

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.  

5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Analytics, Merchandise Analytics, Merchandise Financial Planning, or Business Intelligence.  

Experience developing inventory, demand planning, and 3PL performance analytics.  

Strong understanding of merchandise financial planning concepts including forecasting, Open-to-Buy (OTB), AUC, AUR, Gross Sales, Margin, and inventory management.  

Experience building bottom-up financial forecasts and KPI dashboards.  

Advanced proficiency with Databricks, Power BI, SQL, and Excel; Python experience is a plus.  

Experience building executive dashboards, automated reporting, and self-service analytics.  

Knowledge of assortment planning, location planning, and merchandise performance analytics.  

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.  

Experience performing pricing, markdown, promotional, and discount analysis.  

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional business partners.  

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a continuous improvement mindset.  

Experience with ERP, merchandising, inventory management, or supply chain systems (NetSuite experience preferred).
