TO: All Kettering City School District locations and outside locations as designated by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Capital.

POSITION: BUS AIDE

Effective 2025-26 School Year

LOCATION: TRANSPORTATION

GENERAL INFORMATION: Seeking individuals to ensure the safe transportation of students, staff and others to and from school, residential neighborhoods and field trips.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, Partial List:

  1. To take precautions to ensure students safety.
  2. To maintain a safe environment by inspecting harnesses, restraints, and other safety devices on the bus.
  3. To immediately correct or report unsafe conditions and/or defective equipment.
  4. To help with bus loading and unloading procedures.
  5. Operates wheelchair lifts, assure wheelchairs are properly secured and assist students with mobility needs.

QUALIFICATIONS, Partial List:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Meets all mandated health requirements.
  3. Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

SALARY: Per approved salary schedule. THIS IS A SPREAD PAY POSITION
