The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Design Lead, AI based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for an AI-native design leader to shape next-generation digital products for ambitious consumer brands. You will lead the design of AI-powered features and experiences, transforming emerging technologies into intuitive, engaging, and meaningful user interactions. Working on a major client account, you will own key design workstreams and help translate complex business challenges into innovative product solutions. You will combine strong UX and UI expertise with advanced visual design skills to deliver polished, user-centered experiences across mobile applications and websites. In close collaboration with product managers, engineers, developers, and fellow designers, you will bring ideas to life through rapid iteration and thoughtful experimentation. You will also work directly with senior client stakeholders, balancing strategic product thinking, business objectives, and consumer needs. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a forward-thinking design professional who embraces AI as a practical design tool and a powerful driver of product innovation.

Accountabilities

  • AI Product Experience Design: Lead the design of AI-powered features, interactions, and workflows that meaningfully improve the user experience. Address the complexities of AI-driven interactions, including edge cases, failure states, trust signals, and situations where AI-generated outputs are incomplete, incorrect, or unexpected.
  • Product Design Leadership: Own and drive distinct design workstreams within a larger client engagement, providing direction, maintaining momentum, and making informed decisions in collaboration with design leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • End-to-End UX and UI Design: Deliver comprehensive design solutions across research-informed user experiences, interaction design, visual design, and interface development. Produce high-fidelity prototypes, production-ready designs, wireframes, annotations, and other artifacts needed to communicate and implement design concepts.
  • Client Collaboration and Relationship Management: Work directly with client stakeholders to understand business goals, product priorities, and consumer needs. Present design concepts, communicate recommendations clearly, incorporate feedback, and build trusted working relationships with senior-level clients.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, development, and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure solutions are feasible, cohesive, and aligned with product objectives.
  • AI-Enabled Design Workflows: Integrate AI tools into the design process to accelerate exploration, expand creative possibilities, improve efficiency, and support more effective problem-solving. Apply these tools thoughtfully to both the design process and the experiences being developed.
  • Design Systems and Product Consistency: Work effectively within enterprise-scale design systems, applying established standards while identifying opportunities to improve consistency, usability, and visual quality across digital products.
  • Iterative Product Development: Contribute to agile design and development cycles, adapting to changing priorities and balancing rapid experimentation and optimization with longer-term product strategy.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Proactively identify opportunities, explore innovative concepts, and collaborate with teammates and clients to resolve complex experience challenges while maintaining a high standard of design craft.
  • Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in product design, preferably within an agency or a comparable environment, designing native iOS and Android applications as well as websites.
  • AI Product Design Expertise: Proven experience designing AI-enabled product features, interfaces, workflows, or interactions in which AI meaningfully influences how users accomplish their goals. Candidates should understand the functional and experiential implications of AI, beyond its visual presentation.
  • AI Tool Fluency: Experience incorporating AI tools into design workflows to accelerate ideation, explore alternatives, and improve productivity. A practical, experimental mindset toward emerging technologies is essential.
  • Design Leadership: Experience leading individual workstreams, providing design direction, incorporating collective feedback, and making sound decisions while working with guidance from senior design leadership.
  • Strong UX and UI Craft: Ability to translate complex problems into intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling interfaces. Proficiency in interaction design, visual design, prototyping, wireframing, and preparing implementation-ready design deliverables is expected.
  • Complex Product Experience: Experience developing user-focused solutions in sophisticated product environments, particularly enterprise technology or consumer products, where usability and business requirements must be carefully balanced.
  • Communication and Presentation: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions, present work confidently, and engage effectively with senior client stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work closely with product managers, engineers, developers, and other designers to deliver cohesive, technically feasible product experiences.
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with agile product design and development practices, including iterative delivery, continuous feedback, and evolving product requirements.
  • Enterprise Design Systems: Comfort working within established, enterprise-scale design systems while maintaining quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and Initiative: A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving, with the flexibility to navigate different team cultures, working styles, and project timelines.
  • Portfolio: A strong product design portfolio demonstrating relevant UX/UI expertise, polished design execution, and ideally examples of AI-powered product experiences. Applicants should be prepared to provide a portfolio URL and password if required.
  • Competitive Compensation: Target annual salary range of $150,000–$170,000, with actual compensation determined by factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
  • Remote Flexibility: Work remotely from anywhere in the United States.
  • AI and Product Innovation: Opportunity to design meaningful AI-powered experiences and explore how emerging technologies can improve digital products.
  • High-Impact Client Work: Contribute to a major client account operating at the intersection of enterprise technology and consumer products.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams combining product thinking, brand storytelling, design, and technology.
  • Leadership and Professional Growth: Take ownership of significant design workstreams, influence product direction, and further develop leadership and client-facing skills.
  • End-to-End Design Ownership: Work across strategy, UX, UI, prototyping, and production-ready execution, with opportunities to shape products from concept through delivery.
  • Healthcare, Paid Leave, and Other Benefits: Specific details regarding medical coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and additional employee perks have not been provided in the available job description and should be confirmed during the hiring process.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
