The posting

RESPONSIBILITIES The Restaurant Supervisor is someone who is passionate about food and beverage, as well as customer service. They are a problem-solver with a strong work ethic and prominent leadership skills. The Restaurant Supervisor understands that customer satisfaction always takes priority, but efficient restaurant operations make it possible; they are an experienced leader with a goal to move up in the management field. Under the supervision of the Restaurant General Manager & Assistant Restaurant Manager, assumes total responsibility of the restaurant in their absence.  

Ability to organize, communicate, and lead the team through a successful shift. Ensure each employee follows established side work guidelines to exact specifications.

Maintain and contribute to a positive work environment.  Properly follow all processes that are in place as well as all rules and regulations in employee handbook. Properly rotate all food and drink products in stock. Clean and maintain equipment properly. Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation / health regulations and resort requirements. Ensure that all guest special requests are met. Contribute to the growth and success of the team. Communicate effectively between front of house and back of house. Follow and support service commitment and core values. Assist staff in food and beverage knowledge. 

All other duties as assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree, or equivalent life experience in a supervisory role, preferred.

Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcohol.

Food service experience required; previous management experience preferred. Must possess a knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits. Point of Sales system (InfoGenesis or other) experience preferred. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to communicate in English with guests, coworkers, and management to their understanding.

Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.  Ability to prioritize, organize, delegate work, and follow through with assigned tasks.  Ability to be a clear thinker, remains calm, and resolves problems using good judgment.  Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time while maintaining a high level of professionalism.  Ability to keep a clean, neat, and organized work environment.  Ability to motivate staff and maintain a cohesive team.  Ability to direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections where needed.  Ability to use all senses to ensure quality standards are met.  Ability to work in a fast paced, sometimes intense work environment. 

 ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift minimum weight of 40 lbs. across short-medium distances. Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift. Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.  Ability to reach, bend, lift, and carry trays / ovals.
