Our smoke and carbon monoxide detectors help prevent injuries and minimize damage by alerting people to dangers earlier and our wide range of fire extinguishers equip people to stop the spread of fires before they cause catastrophes. These provide just a high-level overview of our commitment to producing the technology that saves lives.   About the Role: As the B2B Business Development Manager for Residential Fire, your primary objective will be to deliver incremental, profitable growth by winning new customers, developing new routes to market and increasing Kidde’s penetration across trade, professional installation, commercial service and export channels. This is a growth-focused role with a strong emphasis on market prospecting, pipeline creation, customer acquisition, commercial conversion and disciplined implementation. The role will also accelerate selected strategic accounts where there is a clearly identified opportunity to increase share of wallet, introduce additional categories or expand into new customer segments. Success will be measured through new revenue, gross-margin delivery, pipeline conversion, customer acquisition and sustainable channel development. based in either Sydney or Melbourne. The successful applicant will have a proven track record in business development and sales, with responsibility for activities including strategic account planning, market prospecting, lead generation, cold calling, proposal and tender preparation, trade show participation, and customer relationship management. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will represent the company's interests in the market, build strong customer relationships, and develop sustainable growth strategies that deliver profitable sales outcomes and long-term business success. Key Responsibilities: 

Minimum of 3 to 5 Years of experience. Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across trade, commercial installation, service, and export channels.  Identify, engage and secure new distributors, installers, contractors and channel partners while strengthening relationships with strategically important existing customers. Develop customer growth plans that increase share of wallet, expand category penetration and secure long-term profitable growth. Build and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities from prospecting through to negotiation, conversion, implementation and ongoing commercial growth. Prepare and deliver high-quality proposals, tenders, and commercial presentations. Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and customer forums. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities across the region. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and CRM records. Partner with marketing, product management and operations teams to develop and execute growth initiatives that accelerate customer acquisition and market penetration. Identify and execute market-entry opportunities in adjacent segments, customer groups and export markets.

  Requirements:

Proven success delivering profitable B2B growth through new customer acquisition, market development and channel expansion., preferably within the electrical, hardware, fire safety, security, or related industries. Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating pricing, margin structures, customer agreements and long-term growth plans. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach. Sound technical aptitude, with the ability to understand product features, communicate value propositions, and translate technical information into customer benefits. Highly polished presenter and confident communicator with exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to originate opportunities, build a pipeline from the ground up, and convert prospects into long-term commercial relationships. Proven success in building relationships and influencing decision-makers at all levels, both internally and externally. Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Self-motivated and results-driven, with the capability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes.
