The posting

The role Reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager, you will support the external sales team by managing and developing relationships with existing customer accounts, while also providing excellent customer service. The role combines account management, internal sales and customer service, with a strong commercial focus. You will proactively identify sales opportunities, understand customer needs and work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Key responsibilities

Manage and develop relationships with existing customer accounts

Proactively contact customers to identify and maximise sales opportunities

Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products and solutions

Identify opportunities for up-selling and additional sales

Build long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat and regular business

Provide exceptional customer service with energy, warmth and professionalism

Support Area Sales Managers with business development activities

Liaise with internal departments and external carriers to ensure a smooth customer experience

Stay up to date with new product launches, promotions and company initiatives

Maintain accurate customer records and ensure a high level of attention to detail

Support customer-facing activities and procedures where required

Remain proactive and adaptable, particularly during busy periods

The person We are looking for someone who is passionate about sales and customer service and takes pride in representing our brand. Previous experience in an internal sales, account management or customer service role would be advantageous, but is not essential, as full training will be provided. You will be:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Ability to build rapport and trust with customers

Confidence in identifying customer needs and up-selling opportunities

Strong organisational and time-management skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to negotiate and influence where appropriate

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT systems
