About the Role

KIDE delivers engineering projects and related industrial facility solutions. As we expand our business in the United States and Europe, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager to contribute to overseas business development and lead projects from opportunity assessment and proposal development through execution, delivery and client relationship management.

The role works closely with company management, international clients and partners, and the China-based engineering, procurement and supply chain teams. The successful candidate will combine commercial awareness with strong project delivery and cross-cultural communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

International Business Development

  • Support the development of business plans for the US and European markets, including research into target sectors, customer requirements, competitors, local project models and market entry opportunities.
  • Identify and develop relationships with prospective clients, owners, EPC contractors, consultants, distributors and local partners.
  • Participate in client meetings, needs assessments, project feasibility reviews, solution discussions and commercial negotiations.
  • Identify opportunities for engineering projects and product solutions, including industrial facilities, industrial doors, loading bay equipment and related projects.
  • Contribute to bid strategies, technical and commercial proposals, budgets, project cost estimates and quotations.

Project Management and Delivery

  • Lead the planning and execution of overseas projects from contract handover and design coordination through procurement, manufacturing, logistics, site installation, testing, commissioning, acceptance and handover.
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, quality, safety and delivery targets.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, finance, quality, safety and site construction functions.
  • Manage clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and local partners, resolving technical, schedule and commercial issues.
  • Identify and manage project risks, including contract variations, claims, cost deviations, supply chain delays and other delivery issues.
  • Ensure projects meet contractual requirements and applicable local legal, technical, safety and quality standards.
  • Provide regular reports to the General Manager on business opportunities, tender progress, project costs, schedules, risks and profitability.
  • Capture project lessons learned and improve standard processes to strengthen overseas project performance and client satisfaction.

Management Collaboration

  • Report on overseas markets and projects to the General Manager and provide analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Support resource planning, partner strategies, project prioritisation and annual overseas business targets.
  • Travel to the US, Europe and other project locations as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, M&E, Construction, Project Management, Supply Chain or a related discipline. Candidates with substantial relevant experience may also be considered.
  • At least 8 years of experience in engineering, EPC, industrial facilities, M&E installation or a related industry, including at least 5 years managing medium to large projects or overseas project delivery.
  • Experience with projects in the US, Europe or other international markets is preferred.
  • Experience in industrial facilities, industrial doors, loading bay equipment, cold-chain facilities, M&E engineering or related industrial solutions is an advantage.
  • Proven experience managing the full project lifecycle, including planning, budget control, contracts, risk, procurement and client coordination.
  • Commercial capability and experience contributing to client development, requirements analysis, tenders or negotiations.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA or another recognised project management qualification is preferred.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to lead international client meetings, negotiations and project documentation.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese to coordinate with KIDE’s China-based management, engineering, procurement and supply chain teams.
  • Strong cross-cultural communication, leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally and work across time zones.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
