We are adding a trader to run a discretionary book of the firm's own capital. You start with $1M, size your own positions, and are measured on net performance and drawdown control. The book scales with results.

The mandate

The mandate is broad. We care about risk-adjusted return, not asset class. Digital assets are where the firm's own expertise concentrates, and the strongest candidates will likely have depth there, but we are open to traders with a demonstrable edge in any liquid market.

You bring the edge. We provide capital, infrastructure, and a firm that understands the space.

What you'll do

  • Run a discretionary book with full latitude on strategy, sizing, and venue selection
  • Build the risk framework for your own mandate in your first weeks — position limits, exposure caps, stop discipline — and operate inside it
  • Report P&L, exposure, and attribution on a fixed cadence
  • Operate inside a strict restricted list. You will not trade the venture capital's portfolio companies, or derivatives on them, or any name where the firm holds non-public information

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years running risk with real accountability. Prop desk, market maker, hedge fund, or a documented personal track record
  • Verifiable P&L history, including how you handled your worst drawdown
  • Hands-on with institutional brokerage platforms (IBKR, Prime, or equivalent) including order routing, order types, and margin mechanics
  • Deep working knowledge of digital asset exchanges: funding rates, basis, perp mechanics, cross-margin and liquidation logic, cross-venue position management, and what to do when a venue goes down mid-position
  • Understands custody and settlement, both on-exchange and self-custody
  • Comfort with position limits, pre-clearance, and reporting as conditions of the seat
  • Based in Taipei or relocating. This role is on-site at our Taipei 101 office.
  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English. (This is an English-first team, and you will be expected to speak primarily in English.)
  • Experienced and comfortable with using online tools such as Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets), Zoom, Telegram, Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word).

Nice to have

  • OTC desk and RFQ experience
  • Institutional custody and multi-sig operations
  • Traded through a full crypto cycle, including a major venue failure

Compensation

Base salary plus performance-based profit share on the book you run. Structured with a hurdle, high-water mark, and loss carry forward. Details discussed during the process.
