Marketing & PR Manager (Funds & Asset Management) | Banking, Financial Services

The company, a leading global investment group with a robust asset management division, offers a diverse range of investment solutions, including exchange-traded funds (ETFs), mutual funds, and alternative investments. We are seeking a Marketing & PR Manager to enhance the firm's brand visibility, manage investor communications, and support the marketing of fund products, including ETFs and mutual funds, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

  1. Brand Communication & Reputation Management Develop and execute brand communication strategies to elevate the firm's reputation within the financial industry and public domain. Create and review promotional materials, such as brochures, fund factsheets, press releases, executive speeches, and client presentation packs. Plan and implement brand campaigns, including industry forums, investor education programs, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
  2. Media Relations & Crisis Management Build and maintain strong relationships with financial media outlets, industry key opinion leaders (KOLs), and third-party institutions. Monitor public sentiment related to the firm and its investment products, addressing negative publicity promptly and developing crisis communication plans. Analyze media coverage effectiveness and optimize strategies using data-driven insights.
  3. Investor Relations & Fund Marketing Support Collaborate with sales and portfolio management teams to produce compliant marketing materials for fund products, including ETFs and mutual funds, aligned with regulatory requirements. Communicate the firm's investment philosophy, performance statistics, and product value to strengthen investor confidence.
  4. Internal Collaboration & Compliance Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all external communications and marketing materials meet financial regulations. Partner with sales and other departments to align PR and fund marketing strategies with business objectives. Execute additional tasks as directed by the line manager to support broader marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  1. Education Bachelor's degree or above in Communications, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field from a leading global university.
  2. Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in PR, media, or branding within the financial industry; prior exposure to asset management, particularly ETFs or mutual funds, is highly preferred. Familiarity with financial regulations and knowledge of fund products and capital markets.
  3. Core Competencies Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin (including Putonghua), with the ability to craft compelling content. Proven experience in media relations and crisis management, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure. Proficiency in digital/social media platforms, financial portals, and data analytics to optimize communication strategies.
