About Your Company

King Deux is partnering with an Asia leading alternatives investment platform. The group runs investment management and alternative-solutions businesses across private equity, private credit, hedge funds and real estate, alongside a public-equity book. This hire supports the Head of Operations – Investment Management, with product control, business analytics and P&L at the centre of the seat: P&L explain, NAV and performance inputs, and management reporting. Alternatives exposure is required, across private equity, private credit, hedge funds and real estate, alongside the public-equity book. The role also oversees fund and investment operations for client funds, the proprietary portfolio and nominee / referral distribution flow.

About your role

  • Own product control, business analytics and P&L across an alternatives book of private equity, private credit, hedge funds and real estate, plus the public-equity portfolio. Cover P&L explain, NAV cut-offs, performance attribution and management reporting.
  • Maintain portfolio monitoring and risk-oversight inputs for governance and investment-committee packs, including liquidity, currency, credit, sensitivity and expected-loss views.
  • Set performance benchmarks and attribution reporting for private markets, and produce the quarterly packs used by senior stakeholders.
  • Build liquidity and cash-flow projections so the investment committee can see upcoming capital calls, distributions and P&L movement.
  • Oversee fund and investment operations through the full lifecycle: deal execution, capital calls, distributions, LP-led secondary transfers, KYC/AML, treasury and investor reporting, across client funds, the proprietary book and nominee / referral distribution flow.
  • Run secondary transfers from GP consent and ROFR waiver through transfer documentation, NAV cut-off and post-trade capital adjustment, mainly in private equity and private credit.
  • Support structuring and formation of SFC-regulated vehicles (Type 1/4/9), including LPA review and coordination with legal counsel, counterparties and administrators.
  • Monitor administrators and other vendors on booking accuracy, corporate actions, cash movements and break resolution. Step into back-office work, settlement handoff and nominee-account administration when coverage is needed.
  • Coach the team, hold maker-checker standards, and tighten controls and workflow, including practical use of AI tools.

What you will need to succeed

  • 8–12 years in product control, middle office, investment risk or investment / fund operations. Alternative exposure is required.
  • Hands-on P&L, NAV, attribution and investment-committee reporting.
  • Worked capital calls, distributions and LP-led secondaries in private equity or private credit.
  • Exposure to SFC-regulated vehicles (Type 1/4/9) and to administrators, custodians and legal counsel.
  • Willing to support back-office operations and to monitor vendors on booking and bookkeeping, not only to oversee them.
  • Enfusion, Addepar or an equivalent portfolio system is an advantage.
  • Excellent English. Cantonese and/or Mandarin preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
