About KIPP Kansas City Public Schools:

KIPP Kansas City Public Schools is part of a nationwide network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory charter schools dedicated to preparing students in educationally underserved communities for success in college and life. Our strength as a region serves as a catalyst for empowerment, change, and hope.

Founded in 2007, KIPP Kansas City Public Schools began with KIPP Endeavor Academy, serving approximately 31 fifth-grade students. You are deeply committed to educational equity, building relationships with students and families so they are safe, seen, heard, and loved.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Delivery and Assessment

  • Use assessment data to modify short and long-term plans in order to promote all students’ academic performance
  • Embrace and incorporate feedback in the spirit of constant improvement
  • Maintain accurate records, grade book, and data tracking systems
  • Deliver comprehensive lessons rooted in the Missouri Grade-Level Expectations (GLEs), ensuring high school students master health concepts (e.g., nutrition, mental health), digital literacy (e.g., coding, cybersecurity), and the biomechanics of various sports.
  • Differentiated Skill Application: Utilize a "Model-Lead-Observe" approach to tailor instruction for varying physical and technical abilities, providing modified athletic drills for sports and tiered project pathways for technology to ensure all students meet proficiency.
  • Data-Driven Feedback Loops: Implement regular formative assessments—such as digital performance logs, heart-rate monitoring data, and technical troubleshooting labs—to provide immediate, actionable feedback on student progress and physical growth.
  • Cross-Functional Real-World Learning: Facilitate interdisciplinary projects that bridge the three subjects, such as using performance-tracking software (Technology) to analyze athletic output (Sports) and its subsequent impact on long-term cardiovascular wellness (Health).

Academic and Cultural Support

  • Assume personal responsibility for student achievement
  • Collaborate with content and grade-level teams to promote an environment of critical thinking and academic rigor
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with students and families based on trust and respect
  • Participate in the daily functions of the school such as morning, lunch, and afternoon supervisory duties
  • Attend critical school events such as staff meetings, open houses, and student-led parent conferences
  • Meet professional obligations including timeliness and consistency in meeting deadlines
  • Exemplify the school cultural expectations

Health and Wellness

  • Manage a semester-long leaderboard that tracks team performance across various athletic disciplines, fostering a culture of healthy rivalry, grit, and collective achievement.

Real World Learning

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
