The posting

Ben jij geïnteresseerd in duurzame landbouw en innovatieve plaagbestrijding? Wij bieden uitdagende stageplekken binnen twee onderzoeksprojecten gericht op biologische bestrijding van insecten in de tuinbouw.

Je kunt meewerken aan onder andere de volgende projecten:

  • Een innovatieve stikstofmethode (BPC) waarbij plaaginsecten selectief worden bestreden zonder schade aan het gewas
  • Biologische bestrijding in de uienteelt, met focus op natuurlijke vijanden en geïntegreerd gewasbeheer (ICM)

Jouw rol

Als stagiair Stagiair(e) Entomologie ondersteun je het team met diverse onderzoeken. Daarnaast doe je tijdens jouw stage praktijkervaring op en draag je bij aan een duurzamere landbouw.

Je houdt je onder andere bezig met:

  • Uitvoeren van lab-, kas- en veldproeven
  • Verzamelen en analyseren van data (gewas en insecten)
  • Monitoren en identificeren van insecten en natuurlijke vijanden
  • Literatuuronderzoek en rapportage
  • Samenwerken met telers en projectpartners

Jouw profiel

  • Je volgt een relevante hbo- of wo opleiding in de richting van Biologie, Tuinbouw, Landbouw, Plantenwetenschappen of Entomologie
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig, gestructureerd en schakelt makkelijk tussen verschillende werkzaamheden
  • Geïnteresseerd in zelfstandig onderzoek gefocust op insecten en planten
  • Je hebt een goede beheersing van de Nederlandse taal, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk
  • Je bent reisbereid, een onderzoek vindt plaats op verschillende locaties, o.a. in Drenthe en het Westland
