The posting

Are you ready to take the next step in your M&A career and gain hands-on experience across the full deal lifecycle in an international company with ambitious growth plans?

We are looking for an M&A Associate, Corporate Development, to join KK Group and support the execution of our M&A strategy and broader strategic growth agenda. This is an opportunity to work across the full M&A process, from identifying and evaluating potential acquisition opportunities to transaction execution and post-acquisition integration.

You will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization, combining financial analysis with strategic and commercial insights to support important investment decisions.

The role offers early responsibility, broad exposure to M&A and close interaction with senior management within an international group backed by A.P. Møller Holding, where M&A is an important lever for future growth.

The position is based in Copenhagen and requires presence in our Copenhagen office three days per week.

Your role

As an M&A Associate in Corporate Development, your primary responsibility will be to support the development and execution of KK's M&A strategy.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct financial analysis, financial modelling and company valuations to support M&A and other strategic investment decisions.
  • Support the execution of M&A transactions, including due diligence, coordination of external advisors, transaction documentation and other deal-related activities.
  • Screen and assess potential acquisition targets, including strategic fit, financial performance, valuation and key investment considerations.
  • Prepare investment cases, including strategic rationale, financial returns, risks and value creation opportunities.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and assess new markets and growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with business divisions and relevant functions to assess commercial, financial and operational aspects of potential acquisitions.
  • Support post-acquisition integration planning, including identification and assessment of potential synergies.
  • Support broader corporate development and strategic initiatives across the Group.

Your profile

We expect you to have 2-4 years of relevant professional experience, preferably from investment banking, corporate M&A, private equity or Big 4 transaction services. Candidates with a background in strategy consulting and strong financial capabilities will also be considered.

In addition, we expect that you have:

  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience with financial modelling, valuation and financial statement analysis.
  • Experience with M&A transactions, financial due diligence or other transaction-related activities.
  • A good commercial understanding and the ability to combine financial analysis with strategic considerations.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to develop clear and well-structured decision material.
  • A structured and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and challenge assumptions when relevant.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate financial and strategic conclusions clearly.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across functions, countries and organizational levels.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

We value intellectual curiosity, sound judgement and a willingness to take responsibility. You should be comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change, and where you are expected to take initiative, challenge assumptions and contribute actively.

Ready to build your M&A experience, take responsibility early on and contribute to KK Group’s next phase of growth? We would love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
