The posting

Okta is looking for an experienced Procurement Coordinator to support various procurement related tasks. To be successful, you will be able to process purchasing requisitions as directed by the Procurement team and turn those requisitions into purchase orders. The Buyer will be responsible for creating purchase order tracking systems, alerting management when purchase orders have been filled and invoices from vendors have been issued, answering vendor questions and providing them with additional order documentation as needed. The successful candidate for this position has experience in the software industry and strong understanding of supply chain management concepts

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as central buyer responsible for PO creation on behalf of all end users
  • Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders
  • Deliver a weekly purchase order report to management that indicates the PO consumption level/ by business area
  • Support document collection and signature routing via DocuSign
  • Help create and maintain listing of contract value and renewal dates
  • Support accounts payables as directed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word
  • Financial acumen/arithmetic skills are required to ensure purchase orders tie to order forms etc
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Able to thrive in a high-stress and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills
  • Previous buying experience strongly preferred, or ability to demonstrate comparable knowledge and skills
  • Experience with Coupa and/or ScoutRFP a big plus
