The posting

Knutsford Academy are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Lead to play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and safeguarding of our students. Working closely with families, staff and external agencies, you will help remove barriers to learning, promote positive attitudes and ensure every young person feels safe, supported and able to thrive. This is an excellent opportunity for a resilient, organised and student-centred professional who is passionate about making a lasting difference to the lives of young people.

We are looking for a motivated and resilient individual who can:

  • Champion Student Wellbeing: Provide effective pastoral support to students, promoting positive mental health, resilience and personal development.
  • Support Attendance, Behaviour & Engagement: Work proactively with students, families and staff to improve attendance, encourage positive behaviour and ensure students remain fully engaged in learning.
  • Promote Inclusion: Support vulnerable students and those facing barriers to learning, ensuring every young person has the opportunity to succeed.
  • Safeguard & Protect: Contribute to the school's safeguarding culture by identifying concerns, maintaining accurate records and working closely with safeguarding colleagues and external agencies.
  • Build Positive Relationships: Develop productive partnerships with students, parents/carers, colleagues and external professionals to secure the best outcomes for students.

What We Offer

  • Supportive Leadership: Guidance and support from experienced leaders committed to staff wellbeing and professional development.
  • Employee Wellbeing: 24/7 access to an Employee Assistance Programme and TLP Perks, including salary sacrifice schemes for cycles, cars and technology.
  • Professional Growth: Access to high-quality training, development opportunities and career progression pathways across our family of schools.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience: Experience of working with children and young people in an educational, pastoral, youth work, safeguarding, social care or similar setting.
  • Knowledge: A sound understanding of safeguarding, attendance, behaviour management and the barriers that can impact student achievement.

If you have any questions about the role or wish to discuss the application process, please email [email protected]

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
