- Lead technical discussions and architectural decisions to prevent technical debt and ensure our commitment to 99.99% uptime.

- Influence the technical roadmap for our cloud-native components, advocating for best practices in a distributed systems environment.

- Mentor other engineers through thoughtful code reviews and design sessions, fostering a culture of high-quality code and developer delight.

- Collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams to architect and deliver impactful solutions for our global user base.

- Resolve complex bugs and performance bottlenecks in our core networking and configuration management components.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design principles.

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and the cloud-native ecosystem.

- Proficiency with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL.

- Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.

THE KONG DNA

- Ownership: A proactive, self-starting mindset with a bias for action and a sense of responsibility for the end-to-end user experience.

- Urgency: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, pre-IPO environment, delivering high-impact work on ambitious timelines without sacrificing quality.

- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude, adept at working across functions to achieve common goals.

BONUS POINTS

- Experience with API gateways, service mesh (like Kuma), or related networking technologies.

- Active contributions to open-source projects.

- Knowledge of Lua or NGINX internals.

- Experience building and managing large-scale SaaS platforms.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
