PLC / SCADA Programmer I Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (20–30 hours per week) Turn process challenges into smart automation solutions. We’re looking for a PLC / SCADA Programmer I to join our growing team and help design, program, and support control systems that keep critical water and wastewater processes running smoothly. This role is ideal for a motivated programmer who enjoys collaboration, learning new platforms, and seeing their work come to life in the field. What You’ll Do As a PLC / SCADA Programmer, you’ll work closely with engineers, project managers, field technicians, and clients to deliver reliable, high-quality automation solutions. Key responsibilities include: Program PLC logic and SCADA/HMI applications accurately and on schedule Develop control logic, HMI screens, alarms, and system functionality Assist with on-site system start-ups, commissioning, and troubleshooting Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet scope, budget, and schedule Support the development of internal programming standards and reusable libraries Communicate clearly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders on project needs Contribute to department initiatives, marketing efforts, and continuous improvement Perform other duties as assigned Technologies You’ll Work With SCADA / HMI Platforms (experience with one or more): AVEVA System Platform Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE / ME Rockwell PlantPAx GE iFIX Inductive Automation Ignition ClearSCADA / Citect SCADA PLC Platforms (experience with one or more): Rockwell RSLogix 5 / 500, Studio 5000 Schneider EcoStruxure / Unity Pro XL GE Proficy Siemens SIMATIC Step 7 SCADAPack AutomationDirect (DirectLOGIC) Additional Technologies: VMWare ESXi Win911 Historian databases (SQL) Industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, TCP/IP) What We’re Looking For Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of PLC/SCADA programming experience in water/wastewater processes Strong understanding of industrial control systems and panel design Working knowledge of field instruments and electro-mechanical devices Ability to program using ladder logic, structured text, and VB scripting Ability to read and interpret PLC wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and control narratives Experience performing on-site troubleshooting with team support Comfortable learning new software platforms independently Solid understanding of modern computer systems and industrial networks Skills That Set You Apart
