Job Title: Accountant / Bookkeeper (PH & US Clients) Location: Remote / Philippines Employment Type: Part-Time (or as determined by the Company) Schedule: Aligned with business requirements (preferably US time zone overlap) About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage end-to-end financial operations for both US and Philippine entities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting US-based clients, is proficient in QuickBooks, and is capable of handling local statutory compliance (BIR, taxes, and filings) in the Philippines. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient billing and collections, and compliance with both US and PH financial standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Bookkeeping & Accounting (US & PH) Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for US and Philippine operations Handle full-cycle bookkeeping including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Support month-end and year-end closing processes Ensure compliance with US accounting practices (experience preferred) 2. QuickBooks Management Manage and maintain company books using QuickBooks (US version) Record and reconcile transactions, including bank and credit card accounts Generate financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) 3. Stripe & Payment Management Manage invoicing and payment processing through Stripe Reconcile Stripe transactions with QuickBooks records Monitor incoming payments and ensure proper recording Handle payment configurations (one-time, subscription, installment if applicable) 4. Invoicing & Collections Prepare and issue accurate invoices to clients in a timely manner Monitor accounts receivable and track outstanding balances Conduct professional follow-ups for overdue or late payments Coordinate with internal teams (Sales/Operations) on billing concerns 5. Philippine Compliance (BIR & Statutory Requirements) Manage all BIR-related filings and compliance (VAT, percentage tax, withholding tax, etc.) Ensure timely submission of required reports and payments Maintain compliance with local accounting and tax regulations Coordinate with external accountants or auditors if necessary 6. Payroll Management (PH & Contractors) Process end-to-end payroll for Philippine employees (semi-monthly or as required) Ensure accurate computation of salaries, deductions, overtime, holidays, and leave conversions Handle statutory contributions: SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and Withholding Tax Prepare and generate payslips and payroll reports Coordinate payroll funding and bank file preparation (if applicable) Support final pay computation, including back pay, prorated salaries, and deductions Ensure payroll compliance with Philippine labor laws and company policies Maintain payroll records with strict confidentiality Support contractor payments (local and international if applicable) Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping/accounting Proven experience handling US clients or US-based accounting Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (US version preferred) Experience with Stripe (payments, invoicing, reconciliation) is highly preferred Solid understanding of Philippine tax compliance (BIR processes) High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Preferred Qualifications Experience in a BPO, outsourcing, or consulting environment Familiarity with HubSpot, Stripe integrations, or similar systems Exposure to multi-entity or international accounting setups CPA is a plus but not required Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High level of accountability and ownership Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity Success Metrics Accuracy and timeliness of financial records and reports On-time invoicing and improved collection turnaround Compliance with PH and US financial regulations Efficient reconciliation between Stripe and QuickBooks
