The posting

Your mission

We are looking for a Power Electronics / High Voltage Hardware Engineer capable of designing and validating electronic systems that generate, regulate and distribute power for space propulsion applications.

The ideal candidate has practical experience developing DC/DC converters, high-voltage electronics, and power conversion architectures, and is comfortable taking designs from concept through laboratory validation.

You will work closely with RF, Plasma, Systems and Mechanical Engineers to develop the next generation of electric propulsion hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and validate power electronics hardware for space propulsion systems.
  • Develop DC/DC converters, high-voltage power stages and power distribution architectures.
  • Support component selection, PCB design reviews, hardware debugging and thermal management solutions.
  • Define and execute laboratory testing, performance analysis and system validation activities.
  • Contribute to the development of future Power Processing Units (PPUs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Power Electronics or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in power electronics development.

Essential Technical Skills

Power Electronics

  • Experience designing DC/DC converters and switched-mode power supplies (SMPS).
  • Understanding of voltage conversion, control loops and converter stability.

High Voltage

  • Experience with high-voltage systems and circuits operating above 300V.
  • Knowledge of insulation, protection strategies and HV safety requirements.

Hardware Design

  • Schematic capture, PCB design and analog circuit development.
  • Experience selecting power components such as MOSFETs, IGBTs, GaN or SiC devices.

Laboratory & Validation

  • Hardware bring-up, debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Experience using laboratory instrumentation and validating power electronics performance.

Why us?

Be part of a pioneering NewSpace company developing a propulsion technology that could redefine how satellites operate in Very Low Earth Orbit. You will work on challenging, first-of-their-kind power electronics developments with direct impact on future space missions.

Join a highly multidisciplinary team of experts in plasma physics, RF, systems and aerospace engineering, where you will take ownership of critical hardware developments from concept to validation. As Kreios continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to shape our in-house electronics capabilities and contribute to groundbreaking space technology

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
