Job Description:

  • Research, design, and develop software.
  • Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.
  • Develop, implement and test components from functional specifications.
  • Elaborate technical specifications, based on functional requirements and high level architecture.
  • Work with other engineers to integrate hardware and/or software systems.
  • Contribute to technical design and liaise with business analysts on all aspects of business requirements.
  • Analyse user needs and develop software solutions.
  • Participate in analyzing, resolving and providing technical support escalated to the team.
  • Develop specifications and performance requirements.
  • Draft specifications, technical design, unit tests, peer reviews and detailed system integration documents and any other documents as required during the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to maintaining a high standard of delivery quality.
  • Participate in technical discussions and propose solutions based on industry best practices.
  • Perform level 3 Support of applications in production - analyze and resolve issues as they arise.

Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Programming & Systems Analysis / Science (Computer Studies).
  • 6 years of relevant experiences in Cobol and ProC.

Functional:

  • General knowledge or background in Banking is a plus.

Technical:

  • Hand on experience on Micro Focus COBOL.
  • Hand on experience on C and Pro*C languages.
  • Hand on experience on Shell scripting.
  • Hand on experience on SQL/PL-SQL.
  • Hand on experience on GitLab.
  • Hand on experience on Oracle.
  • Exposure in Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Exposure in Jenkins, Maven.
  • Exposure in CD/CI implementation.
  • Exposure in MQ and CFT.
  • Other Professional Skills, qualifications and Mindset.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proactive and autonomous, with a problem solving orientation.
  • Experienced working within a LEAN environment.
  • Capable to effectively interact with functional and technical teams.
  • Self-motivated and excellent team player.
  • Ability to follow defined procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding and respect of cultural diversity.
  • Interested to learn and work in new technologies.
