The Role
Are you passionate about security architecture and helping organizations make informed, risk-based technology decisions? We are seeking a Security Architect to join our team and provide security architecture review and assurance across our Service Provider organization.
As a Security Architect, you will work closely with business, solution architecture, engineering, and technology teams to review proposed IT solutions and assess whether security requirements have been appropriately addressed. You will evaluate solution designs to identify security risks, threats, vulnerabilities, anomalous data flows and interactions, and gaps in proposed security controls.
You will conduct security architecture reviews, risk assessments, and threat modeling to evaluate the security posture of new and changing solutions. This includes reviewing proposed security controls and processes related to areas such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, authentication, authorization, network security, infrastructure, applications, middleware, and systems and service management.
Rather than owning the detailed design or implementation of solutions, you will provide independent security guidance, challenge design assumptions, identify security gaps, recommend appropriate remediation or mitigating controls, and help stakeholders make informed risk decisions. Solution architecture, engineering, and technology teams remain responsible for designing and implementing their respective solutions.
You will also review vendors and third-party solutions to assess alignment with organizational security requirements and identify risks requiring remediation, mitigation, or formal risk acceptance. Working with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure that applicable security policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and architecture principles are appropriately considered throughout the technology lifecycle.
As a trusted security advisor, you will communicate security risks and recommendations clearly to technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership, helping the organization balance business objectives, technology requirements, security, compliance, and risk.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in security architecture design and implementation within a Service Provider organization • Experience with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls • Deep understanding of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection • Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts and technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Advanced/fluent English
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
Workplace: Brazil (remote)
Working hours: From 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM - Monday to Friday.
