Job Title: Customer Support Location: Remote Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM Mountain Time (Full-Time Preferred) Salary Range: $5–$7 per hour | $800 - $1,120 per month (with flexibility for strong Shopify expertise)

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Customer Support Specialist to support Deadlast’s customer communications and day-to-day operations.

This role is primarily focused on email-based customer support, order inquiries, and data entry. The ideal candidate is an excellent written communicator who can manage customer requests efficiently, maintain accurate records, and provide a professional customer experience.

Shopify experience is a plus, particularly for candidates familiar with order management and ecommerce operations. The role may expand to include SMS support as business needs evolve. Phone support is not required.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support

  • Respond to customer inquiries through email in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with order status, shipping, product, and other routine customer questions
  • Investigate customer issues and provide accurate, helpful responses
  • Follow up on unresolved inquiries and escalate complex issues when necessary
  • Maintain a professional and consistent brand voice

Shopify & Order Management

  • Review order details and customer information in Shopify or related systems
  • Assist with routine order management and customer account inquiries
  • Identify order discrepancies and flag issues requiring additional attention
  • Maintain accurate customer and order information

Data Entry & Administrative Support

  • Enter, update, and verify information across internal systems and spreadsheets
  • Maintain organized records of customer inquiries and issue resolutions
  • Complete routine administrative tasks related to customer support
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across records

Workflow & Process Support

  • Follow established customer support procedures and workflows
  • Identify recurring customer issues and communicate relevant patterns to the team
  • Maintain organized support notes and documentation
  • Adapt to new tools, processes, and communication channels as the business grows

Requirements

Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)

  • Strong written English communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple inquiries and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Professional customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable internet connection, suitable computer, and quiet workspace
  • Ability to maintain consistent availability during the agreed working schedule

Nice-to-Haves

  • Previous experience in customer support or customer service
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify or Shopify order management
  • Experience supporting ecommerce businesses
  • Familiarity with help desk platforms or shared customer support inboxes
  • Experience with spreadsheets and administrative data entry
  • Experience creating customer support templates or documenting workflows
  • Familiarity with SMS-based customer support
