Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Marketing Communications at Banyan Tree Phuket. The Director of Marketing Communications is responsible for driving brand awareness, positioning, public relations, and integrated marketing strategies that strengthen the resort's presence in both local and international markets. This role oversees digital marketing, e-commerce, creative design, content creation, copywriting, editing, and mass communication initiatives while ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.

The Director of Marketing Communications represents and promotes the resort by maintaining strong relationships with media partners, the local community, guests, and Banyan Tree corporate offices. The role is also responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations programs that enhance the resort's reputation, support business objectives, and drive revenue growth through effective client acquisition and promotional campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Marketing Communications, Public Relations, and Brand Management
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, content marketing, and e-commerce strategies
  • Experience in developing and executing integrated marketing and promotional campaigns
  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Creative mindset with experience overseeing graphic design and brand communications
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Experience building relationships with media, business partners, and local communities
  • Strong analytical, budgeting, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in the luxury hospitality industry is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred
