Site Safety Coordinator: Work Hours: 7AM-3PM Weekends as needed Starting Pay: $23.90 Location: Willard, OH Position Specific Details: 

Support in Safety Site Engagement Partner with all employees, local management and Lakeside Book Operations EHS team to ensure that we are creating and implementing plans to support the health and safety of our facility. Reports to the EHA Manager Support the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of this site’s EHS Management System and EHS Metrics performance. Work with management and employees to plan, develop, implement and continually improve site EHS policies and compliance. Ensure sustainable compliance to customers, regulatory and Lakeside Book EHS requirements.

As a Site Safety Coordinator, you will:

·       Meet with site safety resources to augment and support efforts in moving to a best practice organization in terms of safety and environmental compliance and culture.  ·       Assist with an incident investigation process to identify systemic, cultural, behavioral and management system deficiencies that contribute to incidents.  ·       Conduct audits and inspections assigned.  ·       Assist in identifying and closing corrective actions.  ·       Assist with the identification and elimination of safety and health hazards.

Qualifications:

Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations. Able to communicate effectively in writing using proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech.

  Requirements:

·       Ability to use Microsoft Office and Google programs including Excel and Powerpoint ·       Strong written and verbal communication skills ·       Solid comprehension of OSHA Regulations a plus ·       Passion for creating and sustaining a safety culture
