Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry. Millions of people around the world use Dometic products in outdoor, residential, and professional applications. We are on a growth journey – now looking for a General Ledger & Group Consolidation Accountant.

About the position

The General Ledger & Group Consolidation Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting group consolidation activities and preparing statutory accounts. The role ensures compliance with local GAAP and IFRS contributes to timely and precise reporting of the company’s financial position and facilitates the annual audit process.

Your main responsibilities

1. General Ledger Accounting

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger of selected entities throughout the fiscal year.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly tax forms (VAT/other local taxes)
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory accounting standards and internal policies.

2. Yearly Statutory Accounts

  • Prepare annual statutory accounts in accordance with local GAAP requirements.
  • Coordinate with auditors and provide all necessary documentation for year-end audits.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory filings and regulatory reports.
  • Prepare supporting schedules, disclosures, and notes for annual reports.

3. Consolidation & Group Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of Group consolidated financial statements (“Teilkonzern” under local GAAP (HGB)/BilmoG) and IRFS
  • Collect and validate financial data from subsidiaries and other business units.
  • Perform consolidation adjustments, including intercompany eliminations and currency translations.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting cycles.

4. Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Maintain internal controls over accounting and reporting processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.

Skills & Requirements

  • Completed business degree with additional training in accounting, or a comparable qualification, or a college degree with focus on finance/accounting
  • 3–6 years of experience in accounting, statutory reporting, and/or group consolidation.
  • Strong knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience with ERP systems (MS D365 preferred) and consolidation tools (e.g., SAP BPC, LucaNet, Hyperion).
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Fluent in German and English; additional languages an advantage.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across international teams.
  • Proactive mindset with focus on continuous improvement.
