Job Description

Language Essentials Speech & Occupational Therapy | San Ramon, CA

Love working with kids? Come join our team!

Are you an experienced pediatric Occupational Therapist looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity where you can do meaningful work, connect with wonderful families, and be part of a collaborative team?

We’d love to meet you!

At Language Essentials, we’re a friendly team of therapists who genuinely enjoy working together. We believe therapy should be engaging, meaningful, and fun—not just for the children we serve, but for the therapists who make it all happen.

We’re looking for a creative, caring, and experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our San Ramon team.

A little about us

Founded in 2008, Language Essentials is a locally owned speech-language and occupational therapy practice serving children and families throughout the East Bay.

We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with our families and the supportive environment we’ve created for our team.

Our occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists work together to help children build confidence, develop new skills, and become more independent in their everyday lives.

Why you’ll love working with us

· Flexible part-time scheduling: We’ll work together to find a schedule that fits your availability and our clinic’s needs.

· A welcoming, collaborative team: Work alongside dedicated SLPs who enjoy sharing ideas, celebrating progress, and supporting one another.

· The freedom to be creative: We value your clinical expertise and encourage you to bring your own ideas and treatment approaches to each session.

· A variety of pediatric clients: Help children develop sensory-motor, fine motor, self-care, play, and self-regulation skills.

· Opportunities to keep learning: We encourage professional development and continuing education.

· A place where you’re valued: We’re an established, locally owned practice where your contributions matter.

What you’ll be doing

· Conduct pediatric OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.

· Create engaging, play-based therapy sessions that help children build meaningful everyday skills.

· Support children with sensory processing, motor coordination, self-care, play, and self-regulation.

· Work closely with families to celebrate progress and help children carry their new skills into daily routines.

· Collaborate with our SLP team and other professionals to provide coordinated care.

· Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.

· Share your ideas and help us continue building our OT program.

· Provide pediatric feeding intervention when appropriate to your training and experience.

Who we’re hoping to find

We’re looking for someone who:

· Holds a current California Occupational Therapist license.

· Has a degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.

· Has at least two years of pediatric occupational therapy experience.

· Is comfortable independently conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and managing a pediatric caseload.

· Enjoys being creative and making therapy fun and functional.

· Communicates well with families and colleagues.

· Is organized, dependable, and enjoys being part of a team.

A big plus: Experience and additional training in pediatric feeding therapy!

The details

· Position: Part-time

· Location: San Ramon, California

· Schedule: Flexible, based on mutual availability and clinic needs

· Compensation: Competitive and based on experience and qualifications

· Professional development: Opportunities for continued learning and growth

Additional benefits and eligibility will be discussed during the hiring process.

We’d love to hear from you!

At Language Essentials, our mission is to empower every person to thrive by building meaningful skills for everyday life—through compassionate, personalized, and purposeful therapy.

If you’re an experienced pediatric OT who loves helping children grow and enjoys collaborating with others, we’d love to have a conversation!

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?
