About the Role

As Senior Manager, FI, you will have four key responsibilities: (1) ensuring project delivery, (2) client management, (3) team management, and (4) supporting business development.

You will lead a delivery team of 12-20 in the Financial Investors vertical, supervising and guiding the research process and generating insights that help Private Equity and Venture Capital clients make investment decisions. You will typically lead three to five projects in parallel, with full ownership of deliverables, including costs. Your team’s successes will enhance your own results.

You will be exposed to senior PE and VC executives and will lead interactions with them, influencing their thinking and moving projects closer to action. Your key objective is to build and maintain strong client relationships, understand their evolving investment needs, resolve project issues, drive high client satisfaction, and ensure repeat business and continuity.

You will also play a meaningful leadership role internally: supporting the 1Lattice culture, motivating colleagues, and helping team members train, develop their skills, and feel part of the 1Lattice family. You will be responsible for both their growth and their overall happiness.

Lastly, you will manage key account relationships, open new ones, and undertake business development activities such as proposals, follow-up project discussions, and support in building new products, to grow 1Lattice’s business in these accounts and areas.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own project scope and delivery end to end, leading high-impact teams on engagements for PE and VC investors
  • Drive thought leadership by developing compelling approaches, frameworks, and solutions to client investment questions
  • Manage overall client satisfaction and engagement through high-impact delivery
  • Drive business continuity with existing clients and ensure repeat business from key accounts
  • Manage team growth and satisfaction, and build a strong team culture
  • Play an active role in recruitment and in building project delivery teams in the FI vertical
  • Contribute actively to business development through discussions with new clients and by driving proposals and marketing processes

Competencies and Skills

  • Proven experience in data services, business research, and/or consulting, with 8+ years leading and managing teams
  • Experience serving financial investors (PE, VC, or similar), or in a consulting/research environment supporting investment decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale research projects from start to finish
  • Expertise in primary and secondary research and data collection methodologies, and in developing market-based research
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from data and conversations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, with strong planning, scoping, and workplan skills and a drive for efficiency
  • Excellent written (slide and text output) and verbal (client presentation) communication
  • Strong client management skills: understanding client needs and building trusted relationships
  • Ability to create impactful, tailored proposals and present them to clients for maximum conversion

Educational Qualifications and Experience

  • Consistent record of academic excellence; at least an MBA from a Tier 1 institution
  • Demonstrated leadership in educational and professional career
  • 5+ years of primary and secondary research experience (mandatory)
  • Very high drive and energy
  • Clear, confident, and articulate presentation skills
