ABOUT LAWHIVE

Lawhive is an AI-native law firm operating in the US and UK. We partner with leading Main Street law firms and give their lawyers and back-office teams what they need to grow faster than they could alone: our own AI platform, plus marketing and operational support.

We build that platform ourselves, alongside the people who use it every day. That means no guessing what users want, no six-month feedback loops, and no compromises to fit someone else’s product. At its heart is Lawrence, our AI agent for legal work. Lawrence takes on the heavy lifting so lawyers can put their judgement where it belongs: at the centre of every matter. We’re a team obsessed with building the best tools in legal.

We're backed by a $60M Series B at a $685M valuation, from investors including Google Ventures, TQ Ventures, Mitch Rales, Balderton Capital and Premier League footballers Harry Maguire and Reece James. In the last few years we've hit milestone after milestone, raising over $110M in funding. Today, we're on track to exceed $100 million in annual revenue, and we have offices in London, New York, Austin, and Phoenix.

So if you want your work to have real, tangible impact as we redefine an entire industry, Lawhive is where you can make it happen.

THE ROLE

We're about to bring hundreds of new users onto our platform, and design shapes how every lawyer and back-office team experiences it.

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll own design for the squad setting the bar for compliance and data visualisation in legal tech, empowering law firm managers to make better decisions. You'll work day to day with a PM and engineers on data-heavy, mission-critical work, designing new agentic UX patterns that lawyers rely on, including how they work alongside AI agents.

You'll take problems from discovery to shipped: talking to users, shaping the solution, prototyping and testing it, and seeing it through with engineering. You'll make the calls, and you'll have the craft to back them up.

And our users are part of the company. You'll have direct access to the people you design for, validate ideas and prototypes with them and ship improvements fast.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

- You'll shape how lawyers work with AI. You'll design the patterns that keep human judgement at the centre of every matter, with agents working alongside.

- You'll have real access to users. Our users are part of the company, so you can test an idea and ship improvements fast.

- You'll own your squad's design end to end. You'll be part of a small, strong design team, with the scope to set the direction for your area.

- You’ll be working at the cutting edge of UX. We’re defining new patterns in UX for how users collaborate with agents to get their work done in novel ways.

- You'll change how an entire industry works. Law is one of the oldest industries and is going through a radical shift that we're driving. What you design changes how lawyers serve their clients.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

- 5+ years designing B2B SaaS products. You've owned end-to-end UX for data-heavy, multi-user products and can show the results.

- Strong design fundamentals. You’ll be able to demonstrate great skill in UX, UI, layout, type and hierarchy, with real working files behind your portfolio, not just polished slides.

- User research and validation. You talk to users regularly and turn what you learn into clear decisions.

- Design conviction. You don't hand over options and wait to be told. You make the call, back it with evidence and bring the team with you.

- AI-native in how you work. AI is part of how you design every day. You prototype in code, build and test ideas in the browser, and use the latest AI tools to move faster than any traditional design process allows.

- Ownership and pace. You share work early, act on feedback quickly and keep things moving without being chased.

- Strong collaboration. You’ll work closely with your PM and engineers, as well as with the wider design team, and you're confident presenting to users and leadership.

Bonus Points If You Have

- Experience maintaining, scaling or governing a design system.

- Experience designing data visualisation or BI products.

- Experience in legal tech, professional services or another regulated industry.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
