Layup Parts median: 12 days open

The posting

At Layup Parts, we're developing the technology that will build the future.

We're a manufacturing technology company replacing months of lead time with days, using proprietary software, automation, and advanced manufacturing systems built for speed. Our customers are inventing what's next, in aerospace, defense, robotics, and beyond. To keep up with them, manufacturing has to change. That's what we're building.

We’re looking for a true do-it-all facilities pro who takes real pride in running a space that looks sharp and runs flawlessly, every single day. You thrive on variety, love tackling new challenges, and get energized by never having the same day twice.

What You'll Do

  • Manage all facilities vendors, including janitorial, security, beverage, pantry, office supply, waste management, and utility providers. You’ll hold every partner to a high standard through routine walkthroughs of the facility.
  • Define scopes of work, write RFQs, and award facilities contracts, with support from our Construction/Facilities Manager and Procurement team.
  • Own the day-to-day operations of the facility, making sure it’s clean, organized, fully stocked, and ready for visitors at all times.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for facilities tickets, issues, and repair requests. When something breaks, you’re the one who makes it right.
  • Lead security and reception at the front of house, creating a welcoming and organized experience for every visitor.
  • Support space planning efforts as our team grows.
  • Own furniture projects from start to finish, from planning through delivery and setup.
  • Coordinate on-site logistics like machine and equipment deliveries and installs, keeping disruption to operations at a minimum.
  • Drive continuous improvement by finding ways to boost facility reliability, reduce costs, and build processes that scale with the company.
  • Build response plans, service relationships, and contingency procedures for critical building utilities so production stays up and running.

What We're Looking For

  • Be awesome! Be the kind of person you want to work with!
  • 3+ years of experience in workplace or facilities services in a larger environment (100 to 200 employees; 100,000+ sq ft facilities)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills, with a natural sense of urgency. You enjoy juggling many different tasks in a single day.
  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to catch issues early so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Highly organized, with a talent for building processes, maintaining standards, and managing multiple priorities
  • A proactive problem solver who can assess a situation, find the solution, and bring in the right resources to get it done
  • Experience managing vendors, maintenance programs, and facility operating budgets

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with security best practices for ITAR-regulated facilities
  • Experience implementing facility management or preventive maintenance systems
  • Experience developing annual operating budgets and long-term maintenance forecasts

Good to Know

  • This position may require occasional weekend or off-hours work.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
