Job Description

Job Title: Associate Director- Core Origination & Structuring – Real Estate

Location: London / Manchester / Birmingham

Hours: Full-Time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week or 60% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly established Core Origination & Structuring team and help shape our approach to the UK commercial real estate market. You’ll work closely with the Director and Associate, building client relationships, supporting sustainable growth and delivering tailored financing solutions.

You’ll help grow our commercial real estate business by working with Relationship Directors to identify opportunities, build prospect pipelines and win new business. You’ll develop strong relationships with senior clients and use your credit and structuring expertise to create financing solutions that meet client needs while balancing risk and return.

You’ll support transactions from initial opportunity through to completion. This will include financial analysis, structuring, due diligence and negotiating commercial terms. You’ll help ensure high standards across credit, pricing, documentation, governance and risk management.

Collaboration will be key. You’ll work with colleagues across Coverage, Specialist Origination & Structuring, Asset Management, Capital Markets and product teams to bring together the right expertise for clients. You’ll also help clients progress their environmental, social and governance (ESG) and Net Zero ambitions.

As part of a new team, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how we work, contribute to our strategic direction and support colleagues to develop and succeed.

Why Lloyds Banking Group?

We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone, make change happen and challenge the status quo. Sound like you?

What we’re looking for?

  • 3+ years’ experience in the UK Real Estate sector, including developer, investor and living-sector markets, with knowledge of market trends, credit risk, debt structuring, legislation and government influence.
  • Good credit assessment and debt structuring experience, developing commercial financing solutions that balance risk, return and client outcomes.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and client relationship skills, with experience influencing stakeholders across teams.

And any experience of these would be great:

  • Experience in Corporate and Institutional Banking or a comparable financial services environment
  • Knowledge of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), Financial Promotions and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this advert may reference specific experience, we recognise that skills are developed in different ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
