Dog Playschool Assistant Manager

Location: Le Bliss Dog Playschool, 84 Rifle Range Road Job type: Full-time Work schedule: 5 days per week Salary: $3,500–$4,000, commensurate with experience

About Le Bliss

Le Bliss is a dog playschool and engagement facility committed to providing every dog with a safe, positive, and fear-free experience. We use reward-based training methods and compassionate care to help dogs thrive.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced, caring Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations at our playschool. You’ll support the team, communicate with clients, and help ensure every dog receives attentive, positive care.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise group play and encourage safe dog interactions using positive reinforcement only
  • Share daily updates, activities, and photos with dog parents through messaging apps
  • Coordinate transport plans, feeding schedules, health checks, and basic grooming
  • Communicate professionally with clients and build positive relationships with dog parents
  • Support team scheduling and work closely with the Le Bliss team
  • Drive dogs when needed
  • Give extra time and patience to dogs who need additional support

Requirements

  • Proven experience handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments
  • A patient, kind, and calm approach, including in a busy environment
  • Ability to multitask, stay focused under pressure, and work well with a team
  • Good physical fitness for long walks and active play sessions
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of dog welfare
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays when required
  • Class 3 or 3A driving licence preferred
